I've been waiting a week for The World Ends With You and Pinkerton (Weezer album) to come in, and I'm starting to get impatient.
About how long does it usually take for stuff to show up? Everyone else in my household gets their stuff in 2 days! What's the deal?

A week if not a week and a half.

Ugh. :( Not cool. Thanks anyway.

I'd be satisfied with a week, Amazon is very good with getting things to their customers quickly. Go to some other site and you'll be waiting 2 or 3 weeks. 1 week is a very short time for internet transactions.

Two days, pretty much without fail.
(Then again, I have a Prime subscription... things are supposed to get there in two days that way)

If you used their free "super saver shipping" then there's no telling how long it will take. Could be a few days. Could be a month or more. It's luck of the draw with that.

I usually get my stuff in 4-5 days.

Most stuff takes around 1-1.5 weeks. If you're an Amazon Prime member (like me) you get free 2 day shipping, and can pay a small price to upgrade to overnight. :p

Yeah OP, Amazon is great and this is quick compared to others.

I ordered a 50 pound amplifier, standard shipping, got it in 5 days. That's great service. I don't think it should take much longer for a little CD that arrives through standard US Postal Service, not UPS or FedEx. You'd get it within 3-5 days I presume.

It also depends on whether you're actually ordering from Amazon themselves or an Amazon Marketplace seller. For me, when I order directly from Amazon it'll arrive within just a couple of days, but items tend to take 1-1.5 weeks from Marketplace sellers (using standard ground shipping from both).

Be weary of the Marketplace sellers. They either come really quick or they take weeks to come, or, on one occasion, I just never got my CD, they took my money and ran.

Bummer man. I rarely go through the Marketplace unless I have to, or it'll save me a really significant amount of money. I've been lucky enough to not get burned so far.

Yeah, now after that incident, I make sure I read all the reviews of the seller before I buy to make sure the seller doesn't have a bad history.
That CD that never came was 3 Doors Down's "The Better Life". I believe it was a penny plus 2.99 s&h. That guy stole 3 bucks from me, not a really big loss, but eh, he stole from me nonetheless.

Some Marketplace sellers are really antsy about their feedback ratings... I bought a copy of the Butthole Surfers' "Weird Revolution" (fantastic album) from a guy, and the front of the CD case was cracked when I got it (which is a bit of a big deal; those who have the album know what I'm talking about with the lenticular booklet holder). I mentioned that in my feedback, and he then told me he'd refund my purchase, just so long as I removed the feedback.

Hmmm... I guess it depends where you live. I always use the Free Shipping and get it in 3-4 days ALL the time.
They should have a tracking feature you can check out to see where your stuff is.

They do have a Tracking Feature unless you buy from a Marketplace Seller.

This has probably already been answered, but with free shipping, it always takes me a week. (Well, I guess actually 6 since Sunday's don't count.)

It depends. Was that stuff in stock? If you picked free shipping and group into as few shipments as possible, if only one thing is out of stock you'll have to wait.
They typically send stuff out within a day or two if it's in stock for me though.

Well The World Ends With You was in stock, and Pinkerton I ordered from a different seller, not officially Amazon.
It sounds like I should get something tomorrow or sometime next week, I hope.
I didn't expect this thread to get so big. :D
