As you all know, the whole Beatles catalogue remastered will be released 09.09.09, like The Beatles : Rockband.

Will TB:RB's songs be remastered!?

I don't like remastered songs, so if they are, I'll be unhappy.

They aren't going to be THE remastered tracks on the remastered CDs (I'm wondering if MrFruitLord meant he hated re-records instead of "remastered" tracks). Because the needs of the RB game, and the limited tracks from the original recordings, they will not be exactly the same (obviously, guitar tracks buried a bit in the original mix may be brought up more for the game). They said they have tried to stay as true to the originals as possible, so they won't be the exact same remasters as on the CDs, but the amount of work going into them to make them as good as they can be will essentially make them remastered tracks.

They should sound a lot better than the original CD releases, that is for sure.

Technically, all music in Rock Band is remastered to some degree. That doesn't mean the songs will sound drastically different. The volume on some of the guitar-charted tracks will change during some songs so whatever the player is performing will be most audible. I'm pretty sure the game will be in 5.1 surround sound, so they're probably adjusting the songs with that consideration as well.

If anything, the songs in the game -- much like the songs on the remastered CDs -- will sound much better than the songs on the Beatles CDs that were released in the 80s.

Giles Martin is supervising the music production for the game. He produced the Love remix album, which sounded incredible. There's absolutely no reason to be unhappy that he's making sure the songs sound as crisp and clear as they deserve to.

The entire reason they're remastering the entire catalog is because of this game, I'd imply yes.

Of course the game will have remasters, I don't know if I would like to play the game with 1987 sh*tty "remasters" :|
The songs have to sound very good, also for instrument separation.

Listening to the CD version of Revolution versus the TB:RB one, you can hear instances that they've cleaned the tracks up. For instance, the click track that plays over the opening riff has been taken out. They've taken the instruments that were panned all the way into one speaker and evened them out, as well.

I would think that we're getting the remasters. I mean, I can't see them not utilizing the new goods. Plus, the remasters likely made Harmonix's job a little easier. I really have no idea, but to me using the remasters makes sense.

Ok people stop your crazy guessing, here is the answer.

" As Josh Randall, project leader told us, the original masters featured stereo mixes that put instruments in sometimes strange places in the mix (such as the drums in the far right). These mixes wouldn't necessarily work for gameplay and, as a result, the game mixes for The Beatles Rock Band will be completely unique for the game, separate from the remastered version of the Beatles catalog that will be released this September."

Yes but I think we are talking about multitrack remasters, or are we going to play that 1987 cr*p? :D
It's obvious that we won't get the same mixes as the remasters. But they are remasters, mixed in a different way. But they are remasters.
