I just received my replacement for my replacement. My first one was scraped up really bad and had a spot where a hot glue gun melted the plastic on the side. I know it was a hot glue gun because there was glue on the spot and there was a rod shaped indention where the plastic melted. Anyway, the first replacement was unacceptable.

The guitar I received today is new. No signs of use. Looks just as good as my original guitar that came with the bundle. Also there are no green stickers on the back. On my last replacement there were 3 green stickers on the back. I never bothered even plugging up my last one or opening it up to see if it had the new strummer. I knew I wasn't keeping it anyway. After looking over the outside and being very pleased, I opened it up to see what strummer it had. I was worried I was about to see an old strummer with the contacts since there were no stickers on the back. But much to my surprise, I have the new strummer with the magnets. It actually looks like this guitar was designed for the new strummer. Unlike some pics I've seen where it looks like the contacts were taken out of the guitar and replaced with the magnet design. All of my buttons feel right, toggle switch is good. Nothing is loose.

The fret buttons aren't loud to me. They sound the same as my first guitar. I put them side by side and hit the buttons and they sound very close to the same. So far so good....Phase 3 of testing...I played Creep on expert, then Blackened and Ride the Lightning. I made sure to use a lot of alternate picking throughout the songs. No problems at all. I went into the songs menu and started picking up and down for half a minute. It stayed on the same two songs the whole time. All other buttons work, whammy bar is nice and tight and works, toggle switch is good. I've overjoyed with this replacement.

It is basically like they made everything the same as my original guitar, but with a better strummer. This is exactly what I expected the last time. So for anyone going through replacement hell. Don't give up. Just keep sending them back at their expense until you get one like I just got.

I'm waiting for my replacement for my replacement as well.

My first guitar had issues where fast strumming didn't connect with any notes. That sucked. So the 2nd one came, with green stickers too. The strum was better but then I found out the whammy bar didn't work. So I ordered a 3rd guitar. Then the whammy bar on the 2nd guitar started working. yay. The following day the 2nd guitar wouldn't turn on at all, changed out all the batteries and everything. I hope the 3rd guitar will solve all these issues.

What are you talking about with the magnet thing? Can you explain more?

That's good to hear, my first replacement should be delivered this afternoon. I hope I don't need a replacement for my replacement.

Just got my replacement... 3 green stickers, but it's in great shape. Doesn't look to have any issues and I was surprised by how clean the inside was... my old one had glue EVERYWHERE inside that one when I opened it...

The magnets work GREAT :D

Looks Like Patience Is Key On The Guitars. I've Adjusted The Downstrum Micro Switch Twice On My Original Guitar And It's Still Clinging To Life. I'm Just Going To Wait Until After Christmas To Send In For My Replacement. So Hopefully By Then I Will Get A Flawless Replacement The First Time.

Let's hope more of these start shipping as replacements. It seems like a lot of people have got replacement guitars that are as bad or even worse than the originals.

I just got my 3rd (2nd replacement) and it has green stickers on the back. It is clearly a refurbished unit since I can see some scratches on the front of the unit. Anyway it seems to be working fine so I hope there is no need for a 4th.

I hope my 4th guitar (third replacement) is that good. And your overdrive sensor works just fine? None of my 3 guitars have had a functional sensor.
