The Free EA Game

Is it true that we recieve a free EA game if we have requested for a new guitar/drum/mic ? I saw people talking about this in other topics but I want to check if this is true and do they send out an email. Also who does this apply to and what platforms is the game from? Thanks.

If you sent in a request in the first few days and had to wait longer than a week for your box/guitaryou'll be getting a free game. That won't work with new requests.

i made my replacement request a few days after the game launched. 2 days ago i was on the phone with someone trying to find out why my replacement hadn't shipped yet. he told me he'd get it taken care of and personally send me an e-mail with my ups tracking number and quote "information about some promotional offers and coupons". i didn't say anything, but i was kinda hoping he was hinting at a free game. when the e-mail from ea came, there was no mention of any offers, but it did have my tracking number. oh well. i'd rather not jinx it by asking them anymore questions(plus i'd sound greedy to ask them about a free game they made no explicit mention to me about)
