First is first, I LOVE ROCK BAND!!! omg its soooo much fun, i have people over at my house every day playing it its a blast

BUT one thing i really DO NOT like about Rock Band is the fact that every time i make a new character i have to RE UNLOCK all of the clothes and such

so i was wondering if there is a quick way to make money for a character so you can customize them? because when i have friends come over and they want to make a character, they get very sad when they realize they only have 100 dollars to spend on clothes to accesorize. so if you have any solutions let me know please!

I think you are stuck with things the way they are. But, when given lemons.....

Try to use that to encourage them to play more often. After a night of playing in the band, they should have enough cash to buy some stuff. I ran into the same issue, but it was funny watching people 'shop' for stuff. They would want to do a little better so they could get the money to buy this or that. Look for the positive.

when im playing with friends we usually just play quickplay, i dont like doing random songs (cuz you can get UBER hard songs that you are not ready for) and i dont really like playing song sets either, i like to play a song, take a break, then play another song so i dont really do tour that often

and just wondering but, if i play a song set (example being: a set where you pick two songs to play with no random) and finish it with 5 stars on both songs, do you get cash only the first time? or can you do that song set again and get more cash for it?

haha if any of this doesnt make sense tell me, im not the best at explaining things

I've mostly just played solo so far, but I think you can keep playing the same set over and over again for more money. You might have to reselect the songs or set every time you want to re-do it. Also, unless you (I'm not sure if its limited to just the leader or any member of the band) have progressed in the solo tour, you could be limited to the songs available. I'm not sure on that, just taking a guess.

What i do is just take a new character to BWT and play a gig and you can get a ton of money that way really fast. Fastest way to do it, but i agree it's lame having to start all over every time. Wish you could transfer funds between characters.

I've been here a month and I just figured out today what BWT stood for (when I used it in another post, it was like "Oh... well, I feel dumb.") Actually, I know what it refers to, but not what DLC stands for. You definitely make more in the BWT (Band World Tour) than Solo, but just like Solo, you're going to have to play in the later cities to make the most money. What I never bothered to check, though, and was wondering: when you get, say, 40 vucks from a gig, is that split up between band members or do they each get that amount?

Whenever I play Band World Tour, I pull in my "extra" characters for the money... useful for earning them a wardrobe without going through single player campaigns again.

Solo mode is actually really nice for getting a bunch of accessories - you get cash, sure, but every song also gives you some random piece of loot as well. Seems to start out as cheap stuff (jelly bracelets, reminder rings), but sometimes there are shirts you can't get elsewhere (Bass logo t-shirt, various instrument maker logos on shirts and hoodies).
Plus, farther down the list, you start getting more expensive freebies - I was just given the highest-cost Punk jacket, then a $2000+ double-necked guitar...and as a drummer, I got handed the second-highest-cost drumset. And that's just on Easy!

I wonder how the loot tables for solo mode are designed...

BWT is obviously your best bet. Every character makes cash seperately despite rumors to the contrary. Only thing you have to keep in mind is that the final and hardest songs have a Hard requirement to them, so you might have to hop over to Quickplay now and then.

Fact is, you'll quickly get enough money to buy whatever outfit you want, and then you can just quickplay to your heart's content if you're not actually into the whole BWT thing.

Edit: Actually now that I think about it, if you really don't care about actually completing BWT, just find your nearest 2 song choose a setlist and play it to your heart's content. You'll make cash, 2 songs is easily managable, and you can choose from all your unlocked songs and DLC.

GF spends more time in the rock shop than playing the game...

For folks who can't get enough people to run through BWT, another good cash farm is DLC. Each DLC song, regardless of difficulty, nets you $150 per five-star play through and you can grind them repeatedly for new cash. As long as I'm not shooting for some $10k+ item I can make a new character in an hour or so of DLC play.

Ugh, I resemble that remark.

I've been using HeXcoda's technique and playing Can't Stand Losing You, ad nauseum. I've been able to outfit all four of my Kiss band members with reasonable facsimilies of their attire. Too bad you can't wear that Goth cape with other shirts...

On another note, if I'm reading things correctly, that "$40 a gig" is per band member? I was afraid of spending all of my band's money, but if it totals it per member, I'll be spending more time in Barbie's closet!

It's per member. There's no such thing as a "band wallet." The band itself never retains any money, only the characters.
