View Full Version : Question about Beatles controllers

Since we now have a lot of info on the controllers now, there's still one more thing I can't find. I'm curious to know if or why the controllers for 360 don't support using the Micosoft rechargable controller packs in them, cause I'm assuming the Beatles controllers are wireless. Is this a licensing issue with Microsoft themselves or just some conspiracy to make the world waste more batteries? I'm curious to hear this from the horses mouth, and I know this question may have been answered before elsewhere but I can't find an answer.

I don't think they do. At least, I know the other wireless guitars don't. I'm sure someone on here has the correct answer. My guess is that there's not really a slot for them to plug in and charge.

Your best bet would be actually rechargeable batteries, or this. (http://www.amazon.com/Rock-Guitar-Rechargeable-Battery-Nintendo-Wii/dp/B001LK6XIG/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1249393461&sr=8-1) That's for Wii but it was the first one I could find. I'm pretty sure there are more.

EDIT: As far as I know those don't work for RB2. So nevermind.

From what I know from my Wii RB1 stat, it takes triple AAAs, Xbox rechargeable controller packs are rechargeable AAs.

I figured someone would bring up that there would be no way to charge them but this is fairly moot because you could always just charge it with a regular wireless controller or one of the charge stations. I think they should at least provide it as an option because I really hate using batteries.

Just get some rechargeable AA batteries.

Just get some rechargeable AA batteries.Agreed, and it's less expensive in the long run.

Besides not lasting all that long, I've found that rechargable batteries will also die fairly quick, as in you can't charge them anymore and have to buy new ones. Not to mention they're pretty expensive.

I'm sure it has something to do with licensing. There's no reason that the instrument controllers shouldn't use the same technology that's used for the standard gaming controllers. You should be able to put your charge pack in them, AND you should be able to charge them with a plug and play cord attached directly to the instrument.

The fact is that there's no pressure for anyone to do it.

It is fairly easy to prevent this. Just make sure that you do not start the charging process once it starts.

Now that you mention it. Will the PS3 "instrments" will be rechargable with a cable USB connected to the console?
