..I have 2 quick questions for ya. First, how long (if you send your guitar back right away) does it usually seem to take to get your money off of hold status? Second, can you use a debit card or just a credit card? I ask the second one because someone told me debit cards won't work, but he's not always a reliable source of information.. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

You can use a debit card, but as has been pointed out before, if you use a debit card you'll have $125 less available cash to spend on stuff.

I haven't yet returned my defective guitar, I'm using it as an upstrum-only bass over the holidays. Gonna return it on day 27. :-)

Don't they give it back once your old guitar arrives at their location, though?

Can I add a question:

About how long, when doing an express replacement, should it take them to get me the replacement and empty box.

So far, placed the order on Sunday and nada. The tracking number still says "Billing Information Received" and only that. Wondering if I should call support or give it a few more days.

I did my express replacement on a Monday and recieved the replacement on Thursday. Obviously they seemed to have worked out the problems. My replacement works great but I personally don't like the feel of it so I may just give it to a friend.

Did you try to track your tracking number during that process?

Did it ever show anything other than "Billing Info Recieved"? That's where mine has stood since Sunday, 12/9.

It didn't actually ship until Wednesday I think. But since I live in Western New York and it was shipped out of Michigan via 2 day air, I actually got it in one day. I would give it a couple more days then call. But yes mine did say "Billing Info Recieved" for a few days. I recieve a lot of packages and track them all the time and sometimes UPS/FedEX/USPS tracking services don't always update. USPS is by far the worst at this.

Yes you will get the money back after they receive AND process the returned item.

I order mine on a Saturday night and had the replacement on Monday. I was shocked.

Ordered my replacement Drum Kit last at the beginning of the week (using the CC option) and still says billing information received. Co-worker ordered his replacement guitar mid last week and his status says the same thing.

Crossing fingers that it ships soon.

The tracking info for the replacement guitar said billing info sent from 12/9 until last night, when it updated that it was in transit. Due 12/14. So it takes them a couple of days to process it on top of the shipping.

I have had a set of drums and 2 replacement guitars sent to me, all express. I have never noticed any holding of funds from my account on any of them and I haven't returned them yet.

Thats the same thing I'll be doing. My sister and her boyfriend like to play RB as well, so now we can have a three person band, since no one likes to sing :P

Yeah mine says in transit now too. In fact it looks like they tried to deliver today but no-one was home. Nuts......

I chose the "express service", according to UPS I will be getting my guitar tomorrow. For me it only took 21 days for the express service. I would have hated to not have gotten the express service.

Woot. I ordered mine on Tuesday and recieved it today, Thursday. Pretty fast. If it hasn't arrived in a week, call EA and they will hopefully find your problem and give you a free game.
