How long does it take for a hold to come off

Does anyone know how long time it takes for a hold to come off your account when they put it on there for a replacement piece of **** equipment? I have heard people say days and than I have heard people say up to a month. The supervisor I spoke with at EA told me it was off as of Monday and the money would show back up as of that same day, it is now Thursday and the hold is still on, should I contact EA and ask just what the **** is going on?

Its not EA, its the issuing bank/cc. Could be 24 hours... could be 5 business days.
