Okay, I have had just about enough of this Activision crap. Below is a list of all of my Activision branded products. I will be returning them all.
Guitar Hero 3: Legends of Rock (PS3)
Guitar Hero 3 Les Paul Guitar (PS3)
Tony Hawks Underground (PS2)
Guitar Hero 2 (PS2)
Total current value of above items: £80
Below is a list of the Activision products that I was planning on buying in the near future.
Call Of Duty 4: Modern Warfare (PS3)
Tony Hawk's Project 8 (PS3)
Tony Hawk's Proving Ground (PS3)
Total current value of above items £100
Altogether I have boycotted £180 worth of Activision products. I encourage everyone on this forum to do the same as I have and list the items returned and rejected in this thread, and how much money Activision have lost as a consequence. I will total the amount of money boycotted (in $), and frequently inform Activision of the money that they are loosing. A sticky of this thread would be nice also :p.
N.B: Please provide photographic evidence of you returning the games if possible.

Unfortunately, it's way past the return date on my two copies of GH3. I will be refraining from buying further activision products, howoever, if this is how they insist on treating their customers.

That's the spirit!
Unfortunately most of the games I own are for the PC, which can't be returned, but my GH3 on the Wii and GH2 on the 360 will likely go back.
I came close to buying Call of Duty 4 on the PC aswell, and I'd have picked up Guitar Hero 4.
Oh yeah, I won't be buying Starcraft 2 either. Blizzard and Activision are one of the same now.

Yeah... but I like my games... I've gotta be honest here, Activision makes some pretty damn good games. At least the ones I've played. I love the Spiderman games, and although GHIII doesn't live up to its predecessors, I still enjoyed it. I think every company, somewhere along the line, does something "the people" disagree with, and they always bounce back or people just forget about it in time. Even if they never allow guitar peripherals to be used with HMX's or anyone else's games, is anyone really going to hold a grudge long enough to keep this boycotting up? Yeah, I said I was going to as well, but it was a joke, I am boycotting something else, but it's because of complete dislike of it, and not the previous actions of the company that made it.

If I can make a suggestion here....
Use your energy more wisely.
If you got 10,000 people to join your boycott and NEVER buy another activision product.. who cares? Not Activision. They'll still sellion MILLIONS of games every year. And since they are now merged with Blizzard they are the proud owners of World Of Warcraft.
A GOOD IDEA would be to research phone numbers, email adresses, and snail mail addys and get hundreds of people to COMPLAIN TO ACTIVISION.
*****ing on the rock band forum isn't going to get their attention. Swamping them with 100s of complaints may very well be enough of annoyance to make them call a meeting in the offices.
