Hey guys, if anyone decides to email or call these people make sure you keep it respectful. Harrassing or threatening people is not the way to get your point across.

Hello, thank you for contacting Activision Customer support. We do not have any information in regards to this matter here at Activision Customer Support. We can only comment on our own product and as far as title updates for our games are concerned, we cannot comment on any unreleased patches or updates nor do we have this information. Keep checking our website and various game message boards for information on any game patches or updates.
We definitely do not have any authorization or information in regards to other company's patches or updates. You would have to check with the company in question in regards to any issues with their updates or patches available on the Sony network.
Should you have any further need of assistance, feel free to contact us again via email or phone.

I bought GH3 thinking that it would work with Rockband. Now I find out that Activision is blocking the patch. This is very WRONG. If the patch doesnt go thru I'm sure alot of people will be expressing their displeasure by not purchasing Activision products in the future.

There ya go. It's interesting, I'm still not convinced. I am not sure that Activision can stop the patch. I don't think they have the ability to pressure Sony that much. I am not saying that HMX is lying, it's just a strange and unconvincing argument. I think there are more details yet to come.

I just got Connie's Voicemail, left a very reasonable unsatisfaction message with a contact number.

We aren't lying and the press release is 100% honest. I know you don't want to believe it but there it is.

I didn't say you were and I didn't say it wasn't. I'm just saying that there are more details. I'm sure. There have to be more details. For instance did Activision block the patch legally or by pressuring Sony? Did Harmonix discuss the compatibility with Activision before hand? Is there still discussion occurring at a high level or is it over? That's all I was saying.

Okay it's great that you guys tried to make us PS3 owners a patch and all but....
This is clearly a case of you guys not getting the proper permissions to do so before the game went to market. You should have found out ahead of tim whether or not Activision was going to play ball. I think that all of us here can pretty much agree and hope for an open standard in guitar controllers. The reality is that this is not currently the case and the GH controllers are a proprietary technology.
However you guys went and sold standalone versions anyway even though there is no support for them.

I have seen 27 DIFFERENT threads on this subject and honestly, I am starting to get pissed off. If I didn't have a life like you guys obviously don't I would copy and paste this same reply in each stupid thread like this I could find. Instead I will place it here since it is the first one I could find...simply two sum up what I think...
Shut Up!
Rock Band is a great game and you people are destroying these forums with your complaining. These forums are meant for us to talk about the game, not complain about how stupid you were for buying a PS3 instead of the obvious better choice, the 360. The game hasn't even been out a month and already you people are annoying me.
And another thing, be glad you got wireless instruments with the PS3, notice you don't see the 360 users complaining about that all over the forums. Sony used Rock Band as a marketing tool to sell more systems since they are clearly not getting enough sales. More PS3 versions stocked, so the 360 version was harder to find. Not mention the wireless instruments and crappy free online...and you guys took the bait.
