I would've bought it immediately... But then I would not have money to get the Game, so no, I'll save up for a later date.

I've seen them for sale and I am a bass player...well I was at the time. They are very small, the neck is even thinner then a standard electric guitar. It would be difficult to play for someone that is used to a standard bass guitar neck. That's why I didn't pick it up. Plus while the high end sounds fantastic, the low end leaves something to be desired.

There's nothing wrong with the low end if you set your amp up correctly. My wife bought one two weeks ago and all she plays is low end, lol. I have to say I disagree with you as well about it being difficult to play if you're used to a "standard" bass guitar neck. There's no such thing. Basses vary like nobody's business. And if anything the neck becomming smaller makes it easier to play. Just my opinion mind you.

Edit: For $450 I'd imagine it was a Contemporary Hof that the OP found. Cos that's what we bought. It's the middle priced one. The Paul McCartney signature one is well into the thouasnds of pounds and don't even think about vintage ones. The price would make you weep:D!

I own a legit Hofner Bass. Plays like a charm, though I really need to change the strings.....
