You have nothing at stake because apparently you have the option of using a GH controller. Meanwhile thise of us who purchased a standalone PS3 copy have no alternatives.

I may own a 360, but I'd suggest you wait to hear the real reason why the patch was blocked. If Activision threatened legal action, Sony probably had their hands tied. At least wait for the full story before you do anything major.

This only makes sense if you bought the console solely for Rock Band. Otherwise, think about the types of games. If you are extremely competitive and a big fan of shooters, then yes, the 360 would be a wise choice. If you prefer many different types of games or are a fan of RPGs and platformers, PS3 is still your best choice.

I will admit that the "RROD" is an issue that XBox has. BUT at least Microsoft owned up to the problem, is more than happy to fix any machines that this happens to. And then on top of that extended the XBox warrenty from 1 to 3 years. What is Sony doing to fix your issue?

What issues would those be? My PS3 works great. I'm curious what issues though because I'd like to check and make sure my PS3 isn't faulty before my year warranty is up.

:D that was a good one seems that some one has taken there stupid pill today. I like how people that know nothing about the other console bash it cause there freinds said this, or that. They heard this or that about it on some internet fanboy sight. I don't has a dislike for PS3 but I will never buy one, and I have my reason not cause i'm of what i have read on the net, or because i'm a xbox fan boy. I had a PS2 just felt the Xbox was a better fit for me when it came time to upgrade.

Couldn't have said it better myself.

A friend of mine who was planning on getting a 360 came up to me the other day and said "I think I'm going to get a PS3." I had not done any convincing in any way, in fact when he previously said he was going to get a 360, I said "taking the next-gen plunge? Cool!"

Anyways, I asked him why and he said "there seems to be a good variety of game types, even though there are less total. I mean, I like to play things like Bioshock, Halo, and stuff, but they're all just shooters." I mentioned that there's a lot of smaller 'arcade' games and such for both but definitely a wave more on 360. He said "true, but those are more of a distraction when you're bored some afternoon, they don't really hold your interest."

I thought he made some good points. And it reaffirms my affinity for the franchise, especially since I think shooters are meant for PC's. And I've played so damn many of them over the last 20 years that they all start to blend together, it's just kind of the same thing over and over.
