Toshiba's announced a new card based on the SDXC spec, which will eventually allow SD cards to reach 2TB capacities. Microsoft owns the file system used by the new cards, so it's unknown when, if ever, the new format will be supported by OSX.

What in the hell will a videogame console need 10 TBs of storage for? The oly way we'll need that much space is if games are digital download only.

The Wii only just recently enabled SDHC support; before that, only 2gb cards max were allowed. I doubt a firmware update is going to allow for SDXC, though.

Not saying we need it just that the thread title is very misleading.

Then again my first hard drive upgrade was from a 256mb to a 1.2gb I thought I would never need anymore space again. Now I'm about full on 1.5TB of space on my PC. Never know what the future hold I suppose.

I wish they hurry up on making Solid State Disks cheaper. That is the future. We will never witness loading times ever again.

I just wish I had to two to put in RAID 0. It would like going from 0 to ludicrous speed.
