Stupid DLC Question

My internet connection is out right now. If I wanted to download some song packs, could I take my Xbox 360 hard drive over to a friend's house, hook it to his Xbox, sign in under my gamer tag, then download the song packs, take my hard drive back home, hook it back up, and have those song packs?

I would think so, but I'm not 100% certain DLC goes straight to the hard drive.

Anybody know?

yes that would work but to use i beelive you will need to be signed in

DLC is stuck to the console it was downloaded on.
As far as I know, your idea only works if you can connect to XBL with your console later on. As soon as you connect it should also work on your console. Until then it works only on the console it has been downloaded on or on any console you log in with your account and your hardrive.

Just take the whole Xbox over to your friends and use his internet connection.
