Inspired to make this thread by misreading the title of another.
Have you ever been forced to go to a concert? Maybe it was a friend, a brother, a girlfriend/boyfriend, or even a parent.
I've only had one concert I went to unwillingly, and it was because I was very sick. I didn't even want to get out of bed, but they eventually talked me into it (although I still protested often in the car).
It was Joe Cocker. Age has definitely caught up with him, and he looks a bit odd on stage, but he did well. His band was actually more interesting to me, personally.
As for Beatles renditions, I loved his version of "Come Together", but really wasn't a fan of the live version of his more drawn out "With a Little Help From My Friends".
Overall, I enjoyed it, despite feeling like I was moments from throwing up for the whole concert.
So, ever been forced to go to a concert you enjoyed? If not, what were your most unpleasant experiences?

I was offered to go to a Nickleback concert. I said no.

I didn't want to see Poison, but the lure of a free concert and vip seats got me there, and I had a great time.

I'm being offered to go to see Alexisonfire later in the year. Not sure if I should go or not. I've heard some of their music and its a bit...meh.

Might as well go. Worst case scenario, you lose two hours of your life.

Does it make me less of a man if I admit my wife made me go to a Backstreet Boys concert, and I kinda enjoyed it? Ok, don't anser that, as I already know the answer. While I didn't want to go, and it is not the style of music i usually listen to, they put on a good show and were very entertaining.

Best - Sevendust w/ All That Remains - Awesome show, Sevendust is one of the best live bands I've ever seen and All That Remains put on a great show too.
Worst - Dragonforce - No need to go into details, they just plain sucked.

I tend to not get dragged into things. If I get invited to something I don't care for, I usually politely turn it down.

i didn't really want to go to Smash Mouth, but i had nothing better to do that day, so i went, it was a free show anyways, and they actually kicked ass
Los Lonely Boys and the Spin Doctors/Gin Blossoms this year was somewhat similar scenario (still free concerts, at same venue actually) but i was already considering going to them before that day, where Smash Mouth was that day i just figured, eh, what the hell
then my loaner car ran out of gas on the way home, and the engine died the next day on my way home from church

I saw those guys at Mayhem last year. I would rate them bad but not awful, except for the fact that they had the volume on their guitars turned all the way down...
