The posters at Gamestop say that you get to download 3 free songs with a code if you preorder from upcoming downloadable albums. Looks like we'll be getting more than just Abbey Road for DLC. :D

I'm not really concerned about when they're released, but how many we will actually receive. All albums/singles? Just a few? For me, that's the more pressing issue. The 45 songs on the disc, plus All You Need is Love and Abbey Road can hold me over until we get more, but how much of their catalog will actually make it to DLC?

I read that Harmonix has something like 200 of their songs avaliable, if they even have that many. (I'm too young to know, although I own 3 albums by them.)

We will get one album a day until we have the entire catalog of albums.

This would be EPIC.

You know, that's the only thing bad about this game...the catalog is limited. Not limited in a bad way, just that once all The Beatles songs are released, that's it...DLC over, unless they decide to start expanding. Of course, there is a LOT of ground to cover before that happens. :)

That's why I am in favor of a bi-weekly or monthly DLC release schedule for this game.

they said that they would like to "round out" the whole beatles catalouge, and by doing so, would have to stretch it a bit, meaning that songs with not much guitar but other instruments, would include more than just the guitar for that instrument's role. Such as they did with "I Am The Walrus" Including more parts than there are to the guitar incorporating it with other instruments in the song.

Well I think it was pretty obvious there would be multiple albums when Abbey Road itself was confirmed as the "first." The only way there wouldn't be another would be if A) the game sold horribly (highly unlikely, and B) Abbey Road DLC didn't sell well. (again, highly unlikely.)

It's been talked about a ton at this point so I guess we'll just see what happens. But I would have to think they'll release at least 4 or 5 full albums, and then cherry pick singles/other songs from the rest. But like I said, we'll see. If the demand stays high, obviously the DLC will keep coming. Money talks.

Cool, I hope that they get out the White Album and Sgt. Peper's fast, cause those two are the best.

We will obviously get dozens of additional songs from the Beatles, including albums, as DLC.

I honestly don't see the issue with releasing the whole catalog. If you're gonna make a game exclusively about the Beatles with absolutely no export/import feature, why not go all out?

I'm aware, but I'd like some confirmation, of course. I hope we get Revolver...

At E3, they announced that there will be more DLC. I was thinking they said albums, but Billboard's story on it just says "tracks."

I pretty much expected this since E3, when they said Abbey Road would be the first full album DLC for the game. Sure suggested that they were going to do full albums for the game. Once the possibility opened up, it made sense that they would follow that up with another album or more at some point.

I think people are reading too much into the recent quote from HMX that the whole catalog would be "stretching it a bit." Of course they're not going to come out and promise the whole catalog when there's a chance that it might not come to fruition. Look at what happened when they promised "Who's Next." You don't guarantee anything until it's an absolute certainty.

The next album that would be good for DLC is the whole White Album or A Hard Days Night

Guess that means three free songs for later? If I get the tracks now then I'm interested, if not then it's not really that great.

I would think that maybe one album per month and maybe a couple of singles every week or two would be sufficient to keep people happy.

Sgt. Pepper, White Album pl0x.

Also, their earlier albums would be great as well.

Hell, it's the Beatles, any of their albums would be great!

I hope Magical Mystery Tour would become a DLC.
