Atreyu anyone?

Atreyu has plenty of songs that would be amazing for Rock Band, mainly Lip Gloss and Black, Crimson, Becoming the Bull, Honor, Rememberance Ballad, and the list goes on. Which songs would you guys like on RB?

And yet again, Harmonix/EA if you're seeing this, I'm willing to make these tracks, as well as any other tracks.

Number one, nothing and I mean NOTHING off of the new cd, just pure garbage but these would be good.

wow, that's one of the most ignorant statements i've heard about a good band. screaming has been a part of the band since Suicide Notes. it's one of the few bands that spans the screamo-hardcore-metal line and can use parts of all genres to create a different style of music. in each of their four cds, they have changed their style completely, yet they're able to keep their own type of unique style that only a few bands, such as Hopesfall or Thrice, can span.

Wow....really, just wow. I dont see what your problem is with hardcore music. Atreyu is actually a pretty decent band. Right side of the bed is actually one of my favorite songs. Dont bash another person for their musical preferance just because you cant stand screaming or hardcore music.

And by the way, i am 23 and graduated from college with my major being in music. Something i learned in college is that their is more to a song then just screaming or a particular style that you do not like. Listen to everything the song or genre has to offer. I like Atreyu for their song structure and writing style. I may not like the lyrics or how the guy screams but i still find them to be a pretty decent band.

Anyways all i am saying is that i dont think that someone should be bashed for their musical tastes.

Oh trust me i would actually respect his opinion if he gave me a response other then "Atreyu is horrible and only people under 17 listen to them"

Come on really? I havent heard one good reason why he doesnt like Atreyu. Maybe if he said because the lyrics do not flow right, or the fact that the vocals sound a lot similar to other hardcore bands, or maybe that the guitar riffs are pretty much the same through out most songs, or maybe that most of the songs are all written in the same key.

Those are reasons i can respect. Just saying a band is horrible because you said so, isnt a valid opinion.

Not everything is emo. I would understand if you said Emery was Emo because yes they very much are but i actually like Emery a lot for their harmonic melodies and accoustic writing style.

Their actually is a lot of good emo bands out there. One of my favorites is The Spill Canvas. They have amazing songs and the lyrics are witty and catchy.

wow i come back to my thread to find two trolls bashing Atreyu and other people for no reason. this thread is meant for people to suggest songs they want to see on Rock Band, not for a debate to start up. please if you post on this thread, or if you have reasons for why songs/bands are good or bad, don't just say a remark. explain yourself so we know what you're talking about.

in my opinion, Atreyu isn't emo. i think emo bands are bands like Simple Plan, Something Corporate, and Sunny Day Real Estate, which i know most people (including myself) can't stand due to lack of diversity in the music style, and vocal rhythms/lyrics/actual voices that just sound like they're whining and need to grow up. the music usually lacks uniqueness and moves to basic power chords many times, and especially with the vocal rhythms, if you mesh together a lot of the bands, you'll find the similarities there where the only recognizable difference is the voice itself, and after a while they all start to sound the same (as well with most boy bands). this type of music i'd place along with sounding a bit like pop/punk songs, which of most are basic. now remember, that's emo in my opinion.

a different style that people might consider "emo" that includes bands like Emery, Silverstein, and Hawthorne heights, i would call screamo/emocore, which is completely different than emo. they have riffs that you can remember, harmonies that go along with the song, and takes a lot of talent to put together all of the parts of songs. they all in all don't sound like the pop/punk songs that are out there right now. they also incorporate the musical tracks more with their vocal tracks and build off one another.

now for the type of bands people think are emo, but aren't at all. the three major ones: Atreyu, From Autumn to Ashes, and Hopesfall. i'll stick to FATA's first cd, since i've rarely listened to the other two. these two bands are not emo. i still don't know why people consider them that. i would consider them hardcore/rock. their music is very very complex and well thought out: Atreyu's sounds like a movie score (proven by the String Quartet Tribute), Hopesfall's music (especially in their cd Sattelite Years) has so many different parts in each song and strings them all together flawlessly, FATA's sounds like a perfect mix between the screaming and music where they use the guitar notes and harmonies to reflect the screaming itself. all three of these bands aren't considered the other extreme of death metal either, which are screaming and dead riffs, which either get boring to listen to, or are just not interesting/fun to listen to in the first place. These three bands (along with more) can perfectly blend the music along with the vocals, and in Atreyu's case, have done it in four completely different styles with all four of their cds.

finally, remember, almost all bands will talk about missing/losing their significant others, but just as a general statement, it's really the strictly "emo" (not screamo/emocore) bands that whine about it. all bands as some point or another will talk about love or their girlfriends/boyfriends (depending on the gender of the band) no matter what genre they are a part of

remember as i said before, don't just say a remark. explain yourself so we know what you're talking about.

Ok buddy, have your own opinion on your bands you like/dislike but you dont need to be an ignorant ***** to everyone who says they enjoy a band you dont like, say you dont like the band and state a reason, i havent heard a reason from you why atreyu is a bad idea. the singing yeah im not so sure about screaming being in rock band but other then that they should be in rb.
