RBN songs and the stage kit

will songs from the RBN work with the stage kit? or will it be an optional thing authurs can put in or not?

As answered by HMXEnosity in another thread, yes. But, as I understood it, there is some kind of auto-pilot with that if they don't wish the chart it. Someone please correct if I'm wrong.

You're correct. The Stage Kit uses the same animation cues that the game uses for lighting and stage effects. If the author doesn't manually chart it, Magma will do it automagically.

The only thing that will be missing is fog events, everything else runs off the venue animations.

It will be awesome to be able to control the lighting! I wonder if HMX forewent fog machine control to eliminate the possiblity of people charting songs full of "all fog - all the time"?

The fog normally should last a while in the room, so worst case if you want to have fog during a RBN track, play an official song first. I actually find that the amount of fog events in the official songs is a bit too much. But I can confirm, with 100% certainty, that the stage kit works with RBN... go go double stage kit setup :D
