I decided that the drum portion of the game does nothing for me and I haven't even taken them out of the box. The videos I have seen on youtube just make them look cheesy and not a ton of fun. Plus I have always loved guitar so that and the singing portion of the game is more than enough. Anybody else do the same thing??

i felt the same way at first, but as the launch date got closer and closer, i find myself becomming a drummer...my advice is don't knock it. take it out of the box, set it up and try for awhile, especially multiplayer, then make the decision. it really is an awesome aspect of the game

Yeah, it sounds like drums definitely aren't for you.. and probably not much fun either.

So, how much do you want for your drums? :D

That's just friggin rediculous. All I do is play the drum kit mostly. Im burned out with the guitar after playing GH since the begining. Maybe im biased since im a drummer, but banging on that kit is a lot more realistic to the real thing than hitting some colored fret buttons. I do still like to pickup the guitar every once in awhile, but noone gets on my drum kit at my house.

It sounds as though you haven't even tried them yet?

Obviously it's your purchase and you can do whatever you want with it, but you know, you already spent the money at this point. Why not break open the box and give drums a try? We're all banging away at little plastic instruments, there's an element of cheese in every aspect when you get right down to it.

Since you posted, I assume you're looking for an opinion. Mine is to give drums a genuine try. At worst, you have your suspicions confirmed; at best, you discover a whole new avenue of enjoyment in the game.

I'm still learning the drums on Easy, but its an awesome part of the game. I prefer singing, and am better @ the guitar, but the drums are what makes this game a true Rock experience. You're doing yourself a diservice by not trying them. I'll probably never even reach Hard, but they're still way too much fun.

Never really thought I would like drumming.
I have since become the resident drummer of our band, although I can handle all of the parts ot the game fairly well, the drums are certainly challenging, and at higher levels quite fun.

Last night, we had "Drum offs" with 2 kits set up, head to head.
What a blast.
The key to this is to play in hard mode, as the drumming is not realistic at medium, and in head to head mode, you dont get "failed", but it "feels" realistic and you are able to play the song without fear of failure.

You drum whore ..... someone should tie you up and make sweet beats with your kit while you're forced to watch. :D lol

Seriuosly tho ...... as someone who has played GH I, II, & 80's (on ps2, frowns at small guitars in the corner). I find playing on the drums a blast ..... started with no coordination what-so-ever ...... I can now play about 1/3 of the songs on hard. :)

I haven't even taken them out of the box.

This is where you went wrong. In order for the drums to be fun you have to actually play them. Watching youtube videos doesn't give the same satisfaction.

To answer the OPs original question: No, no one else is selling their drums. You're a crack head for even considering it.

Loves and kisses, though! :D

I was not really sold on drumming too much at first, but getting into some of the more intricate stuff on hard/expert has given me quite an appreciate for the instrument.
