So. We have an XBox 360 here at work, that we keep in our lounge so we can socialize and let off steam at lunch time and after work.
Our Oracle DBA happens to be blind. Doesn't interfere with his work.
Previously, he's been unable to participate in games with us. He's had fun sitting with us and listening and chatting, analyzing the sounds and stuff, but hasn't been able to participate.
We've got a couple of guitars. I've been bringing in my copy of "Rock Band" to play. Today at lunch he built up the nerve to get on vocals. So we played together, him on vocals and me on lead guitar.
His very first try, he nailed "Fortunate Son" with something like a 94% accuracy rating. He claims he had fun doing it, too.
He says he's going to look over the rest of the track list and start memorizing lyrics now.
So anyway, Harmonix, thanks for being the one to finally give us a game that lets our whole office play together, including our visually imparied folk. Yay!
