Help loading bonus tracks into RB2 on PS3

I am hoping someone can assist me. I am trying to load the bonus tracks on to RB2 on a PS3 system. I went through taking the code off the back of the disc case, going to the website, logging into the download area in the PS3 community ( as per directions), downloaded the tracks, and now I am stuck.

Are the tracks automatically loaded into the game when you launch it? I have tried rebooting, looking for the file (s), but I can't seem to find anything.

So that's where I am. Plus I have my 2 kids eagerly waiting me to fix this.

Does anyone have an idea of what I am doing wrong? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Did you download and install the pack? If not, the file should be in the same menu structure you launch the game from. Just navigate to it and click on it, from there it's pretty straight forward.

If not, is your game on the latest patch? If your PS3 is online, it should be.

OK, I gave it a try last night again. I couldn't find the downloaded file anywhere, so I logged back on to the Sony Network and went into my previously downloaded files. I saw the file there, and downloaded it again. When the file was finished downloading, it automatically started to install the file. When that was done, it doesn't say if it was successful or not, I started the game back up. Again, there were no additional tracks.

Does that make any sense?

After you do the download and install, you should get the successfully installed screen you have to X out of. Sounds to me like it didn't install correctly.

Have you played RB2 when your PS3 is online? That'll get you on the latest patch.

Thank you so much for your help. I am still having the same issue. Here is alittle more information, hopefully it will help:

This is what I have purchased from Best Buy a few weeks ago: RockBand2 Special Edition
On the back of the box, it states: Rock Band 2 Soundtrack includes over 100 songs! More than 80 on disk, plus 20 bonus songs to download. On the box, they have a list of the artists and songs (some of them are in the game when I start it, but most are not).

So if I start the game I sort the songs by Location. It states I have 20 songs downloaded, and 20 songs Rock Band 2.

So if I log on to the Playstation Store and view my downloads, I have one download listed as "Your Rock Band 2 Bonus Tracks". It is 536mb and I downloaded it on July 31, 2009. I start the download again, and then when it completes the download, it goes right into the install (installing... Do not turn off system) which takes about a minute and a half. I get notice that the install is completed. My only option (bottom section of the screen) is to hit the 0 to go back. I hit the 0 and I am back at the store. I exit the store and then restart the game. Still there are no additional tracks. 20 for Rock Band and 20 for Downloaded.

Here is some other information:
Game (from the information option):
Title: Rock Band 2
Parent Control: Level 5
System:
System Software: 3.00
Free Space: 48GB/74GB

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Well if you sort by location and you have the 20 free download songs, What is the problem? Those are the songs you get. You have to unlock the other 64 songs in the game.

OK.. so here is the dumb question of the day.... how do I unlock the songs?

I understand what you are saying. When I was writing the breakdown of the songs, I saw that it was 20 downloaded. I appreciate you confirming that for me.

Just go on tour. Or play the tour challenges. There is also a code to unlock them all but it doesn't save. So the only way to unlock them and keep them unlocked is by going on tour. Every time you pass a song it will become unlocked even if your only playing on easy. You should have 104 songs counting the 20 free songs by the end.
