It's basically a cost price bundle for TB:RB: a copy of the game and RB1-era instruments.

My guess is that it's a RB1 or RB2 bundle with the Beatles game included.

Hmm... No pic, & no details. That's just great.

I'd imagine it's RB1 instruments, perhaps (if you're lucky) with a guitar faceplate that makes it more Beatly.

Thanks guys. I should have googled a bit longer. I found this package at BUY.com as well. In the discription is says...
"Features
The Beatles: Rock Band Special Value Edition will contain 1 standard rock band guitar, 1 standard set of rock band drums, 1 standard rock band mic, and The Beatles: Rock Band game software."

I know on the QVC ad that ran on Sunday night, there were bundles being offered with the RB2 Strats (2 of them) and the regular drum set, rather than the actual Beatles instruments being offered in the Limited Edition bundle.
Hope this info helps.

Okay, so this is a way for them to get rid of Rock Band 1 instruments by using the appeal of the new game. That makes sense.

So it would seem. When I was watching QVC it actually pictured bundles with two RB1 strats and two RB2 strats...and the drums looked like the RB1 set. At first I thought it was just a QVC screw up, but the longer it went on, I figured it was what you said...a way to get rid of old hardware.

Clarification: they were offering both the LE Bundle and the Ad Hoc Bundle (as I'm calling it) on QVC, at least during the 9pm EDT show. It's feasible they ran out of the LE Bundle in later airings.

$250 Limited Edition Bundle = beatle bass + beatle drums + mike + game
$220 Complete Bundle (QVC) = 2 RB guitars + RB drums + mike + game
$160 Special Value Edition Bundle = RB guitar + RB drums + mike + game
$160 rockband99.com + Beatles = RB guitar + RB drums + mike + RB1 game + RB2 game + AC/DC track pack + buy TBRB game separately
Don't know enough to say for certain if the generic gear is RB1 or RB2. Qvc xbox guitars look RB1 and the others look RB2. *shrug*
