I (for one) would really like to see the forum split into Console specific sections, it would be so much more efficient and, and less irritating if we could read ONLY about our own console issues and not have people start wars about who's is better etc,

PLEASE!

Maybe simply add sections specific to each console?

Why in the world would anyone vote NO?? And DUH, console specific IS what it means...

That would be because everyone is entitled to their own opinion. If you ask a question, then berate those that don't agree with you, you're not going to make a lot of friends.

That said, there is a new community site on the way. I doubt they'll be making many changes to this one before it is rolled out.

I think this would just encourage more flame wars, not prevent them.

Whoo hoo! I pushed 'No' over the top for the time being... :D

As for reasons why not, think of it this way -- should we split those sections into "US vs. Canada vs. rest of world release", so we don't have to read about delays/DLC prices/etc? How about 'Instruments work vs. instruments don't work', so we don't have to listen to stories about faulty strum bars?

And, as someone pointed out, there is a new site coming soon -- why make changes to the old one?

Well. Once the richer "community site" is up, maybe they'll be able to figure out which people are playing on which console, and limit posts in a console-specific forum to the people on that console? That might actually help.

Exactly why my vote is no.

I vote no, we are all in this together.

I must be the only one with an actual life I guess, I don't have 12 hours a day to sift through all the crap about Wii this, or Xbox that, just to get to the 3 relevant messages that relate to anything worthwhile out of the 500 that get posted.

If I wanted to hear the type of time wasting BS that is way more prevelant here than actual helpful posts, I would watch CNN or the view...

Maybe they should add a forum titled -

My console is better than yours, or

Useless one line conversations, or

Stuff that you will gain nothing from reading...

no, I guess that wouldn't work, everyone has ADHD and they would forget which forum they are in...

So let me get this straight, you start a poll. Then you are surprised that not everyone agrees with you, then later you insult the other members.

Definitely not the way to make friends. Also not the way to keep your thread open.
