Imagine how bad it would have been if he had a sneezing fit...

Clifton Williams arrived at the Will County Courthouse in Joliet and sat in the fourth-floor courtroom where his cousin was pleading guilty to a felony drug charge.

As Circuit Judge Daniel Rozak handed down the cousin's sentence -- 2 years' probation -- Williams, 33, stretched and let out a very ill-timed yawn.

Williams' sentence? Six months in jail -- the maximum penalty for criminal contempt without a jury trial. The Richton Park man was locked up July 23 and will serve at least 21 days.

One time I was in a courtroom for a mock trial, and my foot was sliding down the wooden seating. As it hit the bottom, it sounded like a gun went off. Nobody knew it was me except my friend next to me and my teacher. xD

effing authorities, abusing their power
I got a detention in 5th grade for yawning in a music class, and even that's extreme
Honestly, if I got 6 months for yawning, I'd organize a full-scale government revolt

If this kind of thing keeps happening and getting worse, we might have a world right out of the writings of Koushun Takami, if you catch my drift.
