Hate frickin posts that start like this? Come on People, the title has a purpose, please use it. Please make it easy for busy people to gain knowledge by reading posts that interest them.

I don't know, it helped on a forum I frequented a while back when people pointed it out, but this forum is mostly filled with people who just want to whine and complain. Oh, and get attention.

The point of the title (especially on a forum) is not to indicate the direct context of the post. That's what the post content is for. The title is to stand out and draw people to your topics. Even if you go to the topic only to argue that you hate topics that start like that, the thread poster is getting their point out to even more people, which was the goal.

Plus, certain things just lend themselves to hanging titles.
