Looks like this (http://g4tv.com/images/2808/The-Beatles-Rock-Band/50575/) screenshot confirms only 4 songs for the Ed Sullivan show and this (http://g4tv.com/images/2808/The-Beatles-Rock-Band/50575/) one confirms only 4 for the Cavern Club.

Unfortunately, you're not really showing what pictures they really are... It's flash, so you'll have to sorta, tell us what pics you're talking about...
Edit: You're talking about the second and third pictures, right? That looks about right...

Opps. Pic one says 1/4 songs completed at the Ed Sullivan Show and Pic 3 says 2/4 songs completed at the Cavern Club.

For all of you worried about The Ed Sullivan Show having four songs, you must have noticed it says on the Menu Ed Sullivan Show '64, they also played in 1965, and they played Help!, Yesterday, I Feel Fine, Ticket to Ride, I'm down, and Act Naturally. ASo it's possible that there will be two chapters on Ed Sullivan.

I'm not seeing where any of those pictures show that there are 4 songs per live venue. What am I missing??
nevermind, found it.
And is one of those secrets the ability to play The Beatles Christmas record, or is it just an unlockable stating information about it? Because if some of the "secrets" are to play things like that, wow. That's quite the unlockable item.

Don't forget the encore songs. So it's 5 per venue.

Aren't I Feel Fine and Ticket to Ride at Shea Stadium though?
WeepingGuitar215

oh that could be possible. but we cant confirm it ethier. i mean the bonus songs
mva5580
08-12-2009, 10:51 PM
Well there's obviously something up w/ the number because it's been openly stated that there are 20 dreamscapes, hence leaving 25 songs to the 5 venues. So either there is an "extra" song on each that isn't being shown in those screens, or some have more than 5. One or the other.
i_c_weiner
08-12-2009, 10:51 PM
Yes, both of those are. Also, Help! would probably be at Shea and Yesterday probably won't be on disc.

It doesn't matter what was actually played on Ed Sullivan. I Wanna Be Your Man was not performed on the show but is there in game.

I'm Looking Through You wasn't recorded until after Shea, too, and wasn't played there in 66, either.

In short, exactly haha.
I think that there are bonus/encore songs to each setlist that don't appear originally on the selection screen for Story Mode but can be played in Quickplay from the start. And if they did actually make it so there's only 4 for these two sets, these two songs would probably go to Shea and Rooftop to give both non-John/Paul songs.
MostSpartan14
08-12-2009, 10:56 PM
I think it will be only 4 because, if you haven't noticed yet, there aren't many songs from, Beatles for Sale, Help!, or Rubber Soul yet. They need more songs in the other venues to compensate for that. Plus, the fact that there are two different customs for Budokan means that there's most likely more than 5 songs.

I'm Looking Through You wasn't recorded until after Shea, too.
Just because a song wasn't recorded until after doesn't mean it wasn't written until after. Many artists play songs before they record them. However, ILTY was never even performed at Shea, so...

So do we know if they're ever going to add more venues? Because I thought I read that they were going to do more dreamscapes for DLC, but what about venues? I mean I think this could make a big difference to whether or not we see more songs on the Ed Sullivan set, or the Cavern and whatnot.
tingly
08-12-2009, 11:03 PM
I'd already looked up I'm Looking Through You's history. No idea when it was written, but the concert was August 65 and it was recorded in Oct. and Nov.
They could have the tv studio be a venue for a Hard Day's Night DLC and such, but no announcement yet that I've noticed, just that this is it for on-disc venues.

The x/4 song pictures are probably just from demo builds of the game. They may or may not accurately reflect what we will be getting.
i_c_weiner
08-12-2009, 11:10 PM
This supports the "'And More!' meaning another venue" theory. If you have two more songs for Budokan, that's you could have two sets of three and four each. This would put things like Rain that we've been debating on whether they'd be Budokan or Dreamscape into the Budokan category and open up room for more Dreamscapes, like It's All Too Much and songs from Magical Mystery Tour and The White Album.
tingly
08-12-2009, 11:10 PM
I thought that about the x/4 pix at first, but demos would be more likely to have 1 or 2 per venue if they're being generous. *shrug*

I'm really glad the Xmas records are in the game. I've thought for ages Apple needed to release those, and thought it was a shame they didn't release the Xmas album at the time of the Anthology.
