I know it's probably too late, but I think "The Recluse" would be a good song to add to the list. It's got a catchy melody and a neat bass part, a fun sounding guitar part, and an awesome drum/vocal combo. It's a short song (about 3:08 minutes) with a bit of a cello/violin breakdown which could be played by the bassist.
I dunno, sounded like a good idea to me. But I'm also a drummer so the part where it's just vocals and drums probably got me excited. :P
Also, what about Muse - Map of the Problematique?
