Right when I first read the "gave them hell" part I knew that would be trouble!

I HOPE she gave them hell. Anyone who was obviously a part of The Beatles history should have a good say in The Beatle's portrayal. haha

Chances are 90% that this gets locked.

But before it does, let me just say that I think it's kind of a shame that so many people seem predisposed to assuming anything Yoko does is vile or irritating. She clearly believes in this project, so much so that she was willing to spend time giving notes to the developer on how to improve the visual style and animation. She easily could have just sat at home counting money. Everyone should be ecstatic that she cares enough to give input. In the end, it only means we're getting a more faithful game.

Less snark, more love.

The anti-Yoko crowd have always been an ignorant, loud-mouth, self-righteous bunch.

I'm glad they clarified it, because I thought it seemed fishy. The changes mentioned seemed both valid and true. John DID often look the individualist that he was, and it was insanely windy on that rooftop.

I agree. I appreciate her taking the time to go Boston and help make the game even better.

That's a nice little thing they wrote up.

I never got all the hate for Yoko. I mean, I'm not a fan of her music, but that doesn't mean I think she never should have met John. She obviously brought a lot of joy into John's life, and it's pretty damn selfish to say the band/John would've been better off if he never met her. The band would've broken up even if John hadn't met Yoko.

Edit:

Also, I hope she was anal and picky to the folks at Harmonix. That can only mean a better game for us.

Absolutely. The easiest thing would be to sit back, do nothing and take the money. Anyone who went out of their way to make this game better deserves thanks (be they the Shareholders or the games developers)

That part of the article was a sorta jokey exaggeration and somewhat clarified in the article. Some didn't catch on.

No we haven't. And it's silly to think that just because someone doesn't like her personality, that they would automatically insult her creativity or intelligence, or vice versa. you can like or dislike different facets of a person. there are some very legitimate reasons for people who don't like Yoko to do so... and, no, breaking up the Beatles was NOT her fault, we know. As for her involvement in the game, I hope (and I'm pretty sure) her involvement only made it more of an authentic and enjoyable end product.

she did lots of weird stuff after John died though. I'm not gonna break the rules and talk crap but just read "John" by Cynthia Lennon (John's first wife).

I think some Yoko jokes can be funny, but she's done a lot of good stuff charity wise and with John. They were obviously happy together, and I think that was more important than the Beatles to John. He was a smart man.

And I think it's really cool how she helped out.
