Deleting unwanted characters and bands

is there some way i can delete unwanted characters and bands, i had some friends over and they got a bit carried away.

I created a few characters just for fun and then deleted them. Now I link my account and there they are again? How can I get rid of them for good?

You can delete them off of the game, but right now, there is no way to eliminate them from the leaderboards/online that I know of.
