I've had the thing since launch. All the great times with Rock Band and buying all of that dlc. Fun times with GTA4 and Halo 3 and Rock Band. You will be missed... :(

Pretty sad when with technology as advanced as it is today, we can't even get a working game console that lasts more than 5 years don't you think? My NES has lasted over 30 :\

IT's microsoft, apparently their system is so far ahead of everything else, it's worth sending it in every year or so.

That's pitiful, really. xD 30 years from now when they stop selling 360s at retail what are collectors of consoles supposed to do when they all fail? Hell I can still find a NES somewhere and buy it. But, in the future, I don't think I could say the same for the 360.

Anyway, at least you had a long run with it. Mine lasted a little over a year without red ringing, and then two weeks before christmas my brother and cousin were playing halo for too long and it was set near a lot of other hot devices (DVD player which is also the surround sound thing and a DVR/Cable reciever) and it just froze. The next time I turned it on I was red ringed...

I didn't get it back till mid January. -__-

Keep in mind that NES' have a lot let work to do than an Xbox or PS3. No discs to spin, no fans to cool anything. It's a lot simpler.

It sucks that Xboxes can be so unreliable like that.

I've had one since Jan '07 and it went in Aug '07 (Disc drive) and June '09 (RROD).

But the repairs are a lot better than they have been in the past. My last one took just 13 days from the time it died. Just hold on to the box they give you. It speeds it up tremendously.

And the one I have now is a dream. It actually stops spinning the disc when you have a game installed to the HDD, and even when a disc is spinning, it's quiet as my PS2 was.

I bought it used sometime last summer, and it is still working. (Lol, yes I bought it used even though people say that is dumb)
