Rockaway Beach Gold Star Path?

Anyone have a good star path for gold starring this. I play the song 100% and got 148k but no gold star on expert.

As far as I know, Rockaway Beach cannot be gold-starred on guitar. I've gotten 100% at least 10 times using slightly different overdrive paths. 148,400 seems to be the highest possible score, and that's not enough for gold stars.

Then it's a bug. All guitar solo songs should be gold star-able. The points needed are relative to the total available in the song (Mississippi Queen gold stars with 60k or so) I have gold stars on almost all of the others - this is the first I've run into. It's either an oversight (bad, and they should fix), or a really bad decision for the game.

It's not a bug. Gold stars are based on a mathematical formula based on score. The chart is simply configured in a way which does not allow you to meet that threshhold.

This is true, but I still agree with brianwi that it's a bit annoying to have a song which cannot be gold starred... still, considering all the other RB issues right now, it's not terribly important.

Ok, it's not a bug. It's a bad decision. Did anyone take time to understand the customer scenario here? Gold stars for some songs with a math formula that's not public, and that no average user is going to figure out. That doesn't make sense.

Are there other songs like this? For some of, we try and try and try to gold star every song. I have all but 7 in career. Are there other songs that are like this? (I'm going to guess that Vagiant's song is one as well.) The EASY and good solution is that if the math formula doesn't allow it to be gold starred, then if you 100% the song, you get gold star. Walla - happy customers.

The Vagiant song can be gold-starred... you just need to FC it and always use star power in the right place. I'm not aware of any other RB songs that can't be gold-starred on guitar.

Wow, what's the cutoff for gold starring "Seven"? I pulled out a 296k last night but it's going to take a few runs to get a FC on that. :eek:

According to the Gold-Star Cutoff Thread at ScoreHero (http://rockband.scorehero.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=1623), the cutoff for Seven is 313K.

Yeah, it's definitely an exercise in concentration to plow rhythmically through that song without missing anything.

I'm not even sure if there's even one score of 313k for "Seven" on the PSN. Maybe just the one... I'm not at home to check.
