I'm sorry if this has been asked elsewhere, I did a search, but the search function doesn't seem very reliable.

Has anymore been said about Rockband coming to the Wii? I heard rumors before release that they wanted to do it for a 2008 release, but have heard nothing since.

Thank you in advance!

Yeah - they really need to fix the search function. Searching for terms like PS2/PS3/Wii/360 are impossible since they are not 4 characters. Dumb to have a limit like that when most consoles get a 3 character acronym.

To answer your question - To my knowledge there has not been any actual plan to release Rock Band on the Wii. I know in an early interview someone was quoted as saying it was possible to release on the Wii, but it was never stated that it was actually planned.

This (http://wii.ign.com/articles/777/777553p1.html) is still the closest thing we have to any official comment.

Well, if you had gone to the FAQ, and actually read it, this is answered there on more than one ocassion.

I for one hope they just say no to the Wii, as they love to fill fourms up with useless dribble like on the GH fourms...

I'm really hoping for a Wii version. It would fit the Wii platform perfectly, being a social casual game.

Wow, a little harsh response there, Zero.

As a matter of fact I did read the FAQ, but I must've missed the mention of it. Like I said in the beginning of my post "Sorry if this has been asked elsewhere".

I actually recognized your name when I checked back on here. I'm not really sure where all the hate for the Wii comes from, but if you read any of my posts on the GH forums (or any forum I frequent, for that matter), you will see I don't fill my posts with this "useless dribble" you so hatefully speak of.

I thank the rest of you who simply answered my question with the knowledge available to you. I did see that "Absolutely" response from Alex Rigopulos, but nothing more. That's pretty much what sparked my interest.
