Anyone interested in playing Werewolf? It's also known as Mafia. This is how the game works, pretty simple.

Werewolf consists of two sides: the Werewolves, and the Village. The Werewolves' goal is to kill the Villagers, while the Village's goal is to kill the Werewolves.

At the beginning of the game, the Moderator will secretly send everyone their role in private message. The Werewolves will know each other, while everyone else will only know their own role.

The game has two phases. Usually the first is Day. During Day, the Village must choose someone to Lynch; they are trying to eliminate the Werewolves, but the Werewolves can lead them astray by casting suspicion elsewhere. The discussion will be on the board, players will vote for someone they think is Werewolves (the Werewolves will vote so that they seem to be doing this as well, and might even vote for each other to confuse the Village); when a player gets a majority of the votes, they are lynched. Their role is revealed by the Moderator, and it is now Night. Night lasts for 15 minutes.

During Night, the Werewolves can discuss in private message and choose someone to murder. After the Moderator has received the name of the victim, the Moderator reveals the dead player, that player is now out of the game and once again Day begins.

The game alternates between Night and Day until either the Werewolves are eliminated, or the Werewolves have killed everyone else.

So sign up here if you want to play. I'll make a list of everyone playing. Thanks to Mex for letting me know that we can all go into options and allow pm's from people not on your friend list. Everyone playing needs to do this since the moderator needs to pm everyone their role and the werewolves need to talk about their kill through pm's.

To allow pm's go to your profile, on the left go to edit settings. Scroll down to the bottom and you'll see "Only allow private messages from friends" Uncheck that box.

Please go to post 2 for roles, post 3 for a voting breakdown of the current game, and post 4 and 24 for info on past games.

If you're reading this and are considering playing for the first time I understand this game seems a bit daunting. It really isn't. One game is enough to get the hang of it. Don't worry about breaking any of the rules, the moderator and your fellow players will guide you through it.


The Rules:

When you have decided who to vote for please say "Final vote" followed by the persons name. It would help if you bold it and make the font red. Once you make a final vote you can't change it.

If you don't make at least one post every 24 hours you die from bedsores.

When you are dead you are not allowed to discuss theories, sway votes, tell anyone your role, or talk about the roles of others. You're allowed to eat cookies and ice cream and entertain those still alive.

You are not allowed to pm any players to discuss this game. Werewolves can pm each other and the community watch can pm each other, that's it.

You are not allowed to edit your vote posts!!!

The deadline for lynching is 10pm est every night. Whoever has the most votes at that time is lynched. Otherwise you need to have majority or plurality to have a lynch.

You are allowed to forfeit, to face the gallows with dignity, but to win as the jester you have to have a real lynch. If you forfeit, you forfeit out of the game as the jester.

If a person has the most votes or tied for the most votes and quits then that is considered a lynch and the wolves get a kill. Otherwise it's counted as a suicide and marked down as bedsores which means the lynch is continued, no wolf kill.

If there is a tie when the deadline arrives then a tie breaker vote will be held. You will have 15 minutes to vote for the players who are tied. If another tie is reached then no one is lynched.

After a lynch the werewolves, doctor, and seer have 15 minutes to send their pms to the moderator. If they fail to pm in that time they lose their kill, save and vision.

If you have a special role where you can pm a save, vision or kill you can send it in early and change it as many times as you want before the deadline.

Also besides just werewolves and villager there are other roles that add depth to the game. Here are a few of the roles we'll use. The moderator gets to decide on a game by game basis which ones to include.

The Doctor - Their role is to send a pm to the mod of a person they want to protect. If the werewolves pick that person then the killing will fail. They cannot save themselves or pick the same person back to back.

The Priest - They are immune to their first death.

The Bodyguard - They work just like a doctor only if the person they choose to save is attacked then a random wolf will die in that persons stead. The bodyguard also dies. They cannot save themselves or pick the same person back to back.

The Seer - After lynchings they can pm the mod and ask about one persons role. They can then choose to sway others into lynching with that info or come out and say they are the seer. Doing so risks having a target on them by the werewolves. The werewolves can add confusion by stating they are the seer.

Community Watch - A group of villagers that know each other is innocent. These people can pm each other to discuss lynching and try to get others to vote with them.

The Traitor - A villager who is pro-wolf. This person knows who the wolves are and tries to help them by voting like a wolf. The wolves do not know who the Traitor is.

Romeo/Juliet - Two villagers who know each other is innocent. They must vote for the same person each round. Juliet has the final say in voting. Romeo must vote for whomever Juliet votes. If one of these two "lovers" die, the next day the remaining one commits suicide. Romeo cannot vote if Juliet does not vote.

The Judge - A villager who can vote twice every round. The first vote must be public. The second vote is a pm sent to the moderator who adds a vote to the tally.

The Witch - This villager is allowed to bring one person back from the dead the entire game.

The Commuter - This person is immune to werewolf kills every other night. Can still be lynched whenever. The first lynch is when they are immune, next one they aren't, etc.

The Lawyer - Can pm the mod and and ask to save someone from the NEXT lynching. So not the one in progress. Time is up when the werewolves kill. They cannot save themselves or pick the same person back to back.

The Reporter - Once per night, they can check to see if someone is home. Someone isn't home if they submit some sort of night action (like a doctor or seer). Wolves are never home, as they're out mauling someone. Also, the commuter isn't home on the night that he/she would be immune to wolf kills.

The Vigilante - Once per game, after a lynch they can pm the mod and kill a person of their choosing.

The Puppet - After every wolf kill the mod will pm this person and tell them who they have to vote for. If they vote for someone else or abstain then the mod cuts the strings and the person dies.

The Spy - A villager who has the ability to pm anyone they want. *This role has been removed*

The Jester - The jester wins the game if they are lynched. So they try hard to get people to think they're a werewolf. If they do get lynched the game continues to see who comes in second. *This role has been removed...again*

Alpha Wolf - This werewolf gets to bite and convert a villager two times in the game as long as he/she is alive. The times will be written down before the game starts and I will send the alpha wolf a pm when they can do it. If the seer inquires about the alpha wolf the role will come back as villager. Also when lynched the role will be revealed as villager. Only at the end of the game will the true identity be revealed. *This role has been removed*

Also just because someone is a priest doesn't mean they aren't a werewolf, they can be both.
