Maybe this is an option in the game already and I can't find it but I sure would have some fun with an open ended free play section like the Practice mode that I can do with MULTIPLE instruments. It seems like Practice mode will only let you use one instrument at a time.

It would be great when you have some friends over and want them to get used to the instruments without someone failing so quick and ending the game. It also would be nice when my little kids who are too small to actually score legit points (4yo) want to play along and sing into the microphone or bang on the drums.

It seems like a simple enough feature to add. I'm really surprised there is no sort of free practice mode with multiple instruments.

This is a very good Idea. I have 3 little ones who want to play along but without an open practice mode for multiple they will have a hard time picking it up as they are 6yrs and under. More importantly, I would like to be able to practice as a RockBand. It only makes sense to be able to get in synch and tight in a practice mode for multiple members. Maybe someone should give me a call so we can discuss the next game/simulator "Garage Band"
open ended play/practice/jam sessions.

Any who, Anyone on board for open practice modes please keep voicing your opinion.

Thanx!

that would be nice....my brother only wants to play drums, but he's 8 and can not operate the kick pedal to save his life (although he's only played once, we can't open our copy till christmas)

This seems like a weird request to me. How often do situations hit where either both guitars or a guitar and a drummer have difficulty at the same point? Besides, in practice mode, you don't get to see overdrive paths either.

I can't see the benefit of a "band practice" mode when you have Band Quickplay. If you've hit a problem area before, just encourage the other player not to waste their overdrive so they can save you if they need to. Also remember a few things about overdrive usage:

- Saving a person takes up half a bar and doesn't activate overdrive.
- Drummers can only save people at the end of a fill.
- It's sometimes more beneficial to activate overdrive before the person fails out. In band mode, it doesn't matter who activates overdrive, everyone gets it. So if the failing person is at least hitting a few notes, odds are they're going to skyrocket back to a full health meter.
