I really wonder what the best way to do this is. What is everyone hoping for? Some thoughts:
From bounchfx: I'm guessing there will be bundles, say, one of my friends gets Rock Band: Drummer while I pick up Rock Band: Lead Guitar, etc, or maybe an all in one pack as well
If seperate bundles like this are released, it would be nice to have the option to buy each instrument separately if you can't fork out the cash for a full set (if they do that - which would be a massive box). But releasing each instrument for purchase separately (and bundles) from the get-go would be quite an undertaking for both Harmonix and retailers.

I'd rather have them all released in one box. And then you just assemble the drum kit when you get home.
I hope, that you can buy it in one package with all the instruments :)
I don't care how big the box is, I'll get them all in one.

I like the idea of buying it in 1 big package, and i dont see why they wouldnt be able to do that... the box would be pretty big, depends what the drum kit can fold down to.

Realisticly though they'll also have to release a cheaper version, perhaps game+mic+guitar with aditional guitar and drum kit sold sepretly also. No idea really

I think it will take on a real-world scenario feel, meaning, if you want to play drums in bands online, you'll need to buy the drums, etc. How many actual musicians buy a set of all instruments for themselves?

Of course, in this situation, variety is more accessible.

I just want the guitar and the game. I can pick up the other instruments later. I have a full studio, so I would most likely get all the others.

An all in one package sounds great, but it's $90 for just the guitar and game for GH2. A full setup would be very pricey indeed.

I hope they don't make cheesy quality instruments simply to try and counter balance the cost.

And in regards to a drumkit... people on here talk about it as if its a full size drum set... I'm expecting more of a few pads you have to sit on your coffee table... Not the most exciting setup - but seriously, a full size drumkit is out of the question.

Probably similar to DrumMania's setup:
