YES! Despite the technical problems this is the best game I have ever played. Just order new instuments the day you get the game so by the time your **** breaks you will have new ones.

We haven't had any of our equipment break, but if it does they'll ship you a new one. If they take longer than they should with shipping EA will give you a free game.(At least they gave my friend one.)

If your buying a new copy its probably next gen and it will work well, but trust me it is defnately worth the hassle if it comes. All you hear about is negative on the forums, but this game is ****ing amazing. If anyone tells you otherwise they are lying.

Yeah, you should definitely get it. It's by far the most amazing music game and one of the best games in general I've ever played. And I've had mine for about a week and so far all my equipment is working perfectly.

As a software dev myself, I find it quite amusing how people have this sense of entitlement over video games.

Companies do their best to make things as flawless as possible. Odds are, there are going to be tons of flaws, both in the hardware and the software. Plain and simple, we as consumers are just not paying enough to warrant there not to be. I know $170 seems like a "lot" to some of you, but in the scheme of things, it's not. You spend upwards of $20,000 on a decent car, and inevitably you're forced to take it into the shop a few times. The house my parents bought a few years ago ran almost $700,000...that didn't stop a rainstorm from destroying the basement.

Even super large omg amazing purchases have flaws in them. People do their best to keep flaws to a minimum, and usually on things as expensive as a car or a house, these flaws are worked out.. You have a highly skilled team that has been doing whatever job they're in for years and years, and very little changes in the actual development process. They have the ability to fine tune that.

Software and Hardware development is a completely different field. It's not something that's as easy as saying "I made one game, let's make this one." Numerous times you see companies that have made amazing products release a game that's like, "Wtf? Where did this crap come from?" Not only that, but they released it after 3 delays, and it still didn't have everything you thought. (I'm looking at you, Gran Turismo 4).

I unfortunately have to get running now, so I can't go into further detail, but just please have some... I don't know, I don't want to say sympathy, but at least some awareness over the plight of the development of these products. It's a tall order to fill, and I do feel that they did an excellent job in it. Yes, I was disappointed my strum bar and drums weren't working right out of the box. But I wasn't mad or filled with this false sense of entitlement. EA support request was filled out, and bam, done.

Long story short: GET THE GAME. By far one of the best I've ever played. You have a 60 day warranty -in the event of- something breaking (there's no guarantee it will break), and even if the guitar and drums do break, you still have vocals to hold you over until the replacements arrive (and yes, it's worth learning the vocal career so you can do Band World Tour by yourself if you can't find anybody).
