I put in for my RMA on the 21st of November and have been waiting all this time for my replacement Strat to be shipped. So imagine how well this message from EA was received:

We trust you have received your new Xbox 360 Guitar by now and are enjoying the Rock Band experience! However, it has been 22 days and we have not yet received the faulty Xbox 360 Guitar you’re returning to us.

To avoid a charge to your debit or credit account, please return your faulty Xbox 360 Guitar immediately upon receipt of your replacement. A charge will be posted 28 days after your request for a replacement if we do not receive your faulty Xbox 360 Guitar.

Rock on!

Electronic Arts

Okay, except... I haven't received my replacement, so there's no way I can send you the faulty Strat. Looks like I have another phone call to make today.

I just checked and I have the same message and I have yet to receive a replacement as well. I'm going to have to call to check what's going on.

There should be a warning on the bundle and then another one on the RMA request website: Rock Band is not recommended for customers with high blood pressure.

Contact them, either through a reply to the email or over the phone, and ask for a UPS tracking number. At least you will know where your guitar is at and have proof that you did not receive it yet.

I never needed to ask for a tracking number since one was issued to me immediately upon filing the RMA request. It was just sitting at "Billing information received" for nearly a month.

After receiving the message above, I called support and was quickly escalated to somebody in a supervisory position who informed me that the $100 hold was being cleared and a new guitar being sent for arrival this Thursday.

I was also told to just keep the old guitar, which now gives me license to permanently repair it rather than go to lengths to do temp fixes that kept the interior intact for warranty purposes.

Not that it helps at all, but when I read the name of this thread I laughed out loud... How straight to the point it was haha.

Keep us updated on if you ever do get that replacement
