is anyone else interested in a "space muffin" modded drum set that would play? I don't know what it would fully entail but i was just wondering. i have an old wine red basic kit that i don't use since i got my pro fibes, but if i could turn these into a controller (a la space muffins) it would be awesome (not to mention bulky and impossible to travel with :) ) I was actually thinking it would work really well when incorporated with the software that turns the drums set into an actuall drum set via pc.

space muffins for those that don't know, are high end digital drum triggers made out of real drum shells. they look acoustic, can sound acoustic, as well as anything else and are played by pros such as sean kinney (alice in chains).

Just soemthing i thought would be over the top and therefore really really awesome.

Why would you want to turn a 5+ piece set into a RB drum controller, then back into eDrums? Using eDrums as a controller would be cool, but it doesn't make sense to me to turn that back into eDrums.

The best solution IMO would be to map a MIDI drum input to a drum controller.

i'm an absurdist, so obviously how ridicoulos this is ends up being the entire point for me.

Best of luck with your Rube Goldberg! ;)

TBH, I'd love to see this working. You're right, it would be the most ridiculous mod ever.
