Mic not recognised

Hi,

When I go to multiplayer it just says input controller on the mic - if the mic is in or not... (PS3)

However on this thread (http://community.rockband.com/vbforum/showthread.php?t=12043) it says I need to have a normal controller active as well?

I'm at work now and was planning on popping out to get another mic - Any USB will do apparantly (http://community.rockband.com/vbforum/showthread.php?t=11184)

Before I waste money on a new mic - surely it should acknowledge plugging it in??

You have to have a regular controller plugged into the console for the mic to be recognized. You have use the controller to move through the menus. I have a Xbox 360, but I assume it would be the same.
