guitar hero 5 is coming out soon so that what 4 guitar hero games....THIS YEAR( metalica,smash hits,guitar hero5 and modern hits) and its not like these game are good smash hits should just have been dlc modern hits is on the ds(and thats bad enough) and guitar hero 5 looks like a big copy of rock band with some new freature to make it look better like your xbox 360 avatar can play in the game. when i first heard this i thoght it was a joke. and you cant forget the "amazing" music studio.every thing guitar gets right they just copied rock band like the whole band this and the weekly dlc(which guitar hero fails at)

Guitar is a good series (has a lot of songs i want, but with Queen, petty, etc. announced,..yo know.) but Rock band is just 20X better.

Are you kidding. You sound like someone who got coal for his/her Christmas. If you hate guitar hero so much and say all it does is copy rock band then don't talk about it on the forums. I like Rock band a lot(i think the graphics are better, better dlc, and overall interface is nicer)but Guitar hero is a valid game with competition for Rock band. Granted, the over saturation is a little unnecessary but GH is on the DS which RB isn't, and the artist games are made because not every one wants every song on a specific album from each artist. You want guitar hero to die. Don't talk about it, consider it irrelevant in your RB world and then when it does die and HMX quits caring about music games and quits making dlc and RB in general.

I'm a big fan of both games. I think GH5 is going to be great, and I've already pre-ordered it. Vicarious Visions is definately leading the way as far as console equality goes, and they're going out of their way to fix up the crappy internet on the Wii, something Harmonix can't say.

Did you know that System Update 4.0 wouldn't have happened if it wasn't for GH: World Tour? Yeah. Vicarious Visions is awesome.

Seriously, GH5 looks sick, and I was very skeptical. If they can increase the quality more, it'll push both franchises to be better, and in the end the consumer wins.

You can say the same thing about GHWT.

There was so much hype (Music Studio, band gameplay, better graphics, etc.). In the end, it was just a piece of **** with the words "Guitar Hero" on it.

Guitar Hero is like cotton candy, whereas Rock Band is more like a gob-stopper...

Guitar Hero's appeal lasts only a short time, and tends to sag and melt into a ball of globby, gelatinous goo when wet. While Rock Band's appeal lasts much longer, yet may take a fair while to appreciate, but in the end it was worth sticking with the whole way through.

Why should it die? Just because you don't like it? How many threads have I seen like this? Too many. They are both good games, but neither deserves to "die".

As long as there are music games, there will be GH.
