PS2 Delay

I got a notice from Amazon that RB for PS2 wouldn't ship until Dec 28, and I called my local Gamestop and they said they hadn't received any yet even though they were expecting them, but they didn't know why they weren't there. Does anyone know the deal? I really want to get my hands on one before Christmas.

I preordered the Rock Band bundle last month for my 2 little boys. They asked Santa for it and now there is no release date for it. What am I suppose to do, more like what am I suppose to tell a 6 and 7 year old who believes in Santa and asked him for it that this is not going to happen. I really wish you could get it together. Set a date AND KEEP it! What could possibly be the hold up, do you people not mass produce all sorts of systems all day everyday? If this does not happen in time for xmas, I will NOT buy it after xmas! I am not in any position to buy a PS3 or a 360, I needed this to happen with the PS2, thanks!

Amazon is saying Dec. 28 now (after Christmas).

Other retailers are saying Jan. 2008.

My suggestion, if you're as impatient as I am, buy the PS3 bundle and the PS2 disc. The PS3 instruments are supposed to work for PS2. I haven't tested it yet, but I will when I get home today.

The Best Buy site says that the release date for the PS2 Rock Band Bundle is Dec. 19th. Is this concrete? Why all the confusion around this date? Can't we get a firmer "official" date?

My Amazon order got cancelled and I don't want to head the store early Tuesday to find out that they I'm a day early. (or a day late...)

Every Best Buy employee I've asked over the phone or in-store over the last week (at least 6 different employees in 3 different stores) says their computers show no date for the PS2 bundle. They acknowledged that the Best Buy website says Dec. 19, but they said that it doesn't necessarily mean they will have it that day, since they have little information from their suppliers.

I actually spoke to someone at my local Best Buy here in Raleigh, NC. He assured me that they were getting them in on the 18th and that if I showed up there Tuesday morning, that I would get one.

I'm not saying I believed him, but that's what he said.

It's because original date was 11th but got delayed. Now there are conflicting dates.
It would be nice if someone from HMX could give us a firm date of its release.

Hey this is driving me crazy... according to Best Here in Pasadena, Ca. The guy assured me it would be released the 19th. But, everything is always released on Tuesday's the 18th. And then there is Circuit City who said it would be released the 18th. And yes Amazon rumors are now saying the 28th

I put a deposit on a bundle at GameStop and they are still saying every time I go in there or call them that it will be available Dec. 18th. They used to say Dec. 12th, but changed that recently.

Also, wikipedia.org has been showing the release date as Dec. 18th for the last 2 months. I was just hoping that GameStop had it right and they had it wrong. No such luck, but I guess Tuesday will come soon enough.

I got the same thing from Amazon. I cancelled my order, went to Walmart and bought the PS2 game and the PS3 bundle, along with a 4-port Hub. Brought it home and tested it and it worked. My teenager is playing it right now. So, if you need it and can spend a little extra, that's the way to go. Oh, and if anyone here was one of the unfortunate who got cancelled or delayed from Amazon, could you please post that this will work over there. They won't let me post since I cancelled my order and haven't ordered anything else from them and I think the others who had this happen to them should know that there are alternatives. ;)
