Yeah, it's gonna be a nice surprise (hopefully!) when I get it home, but I'd still like a teensy bit of a hint to what it'll be :)

It's not that unusual for there to be no mention of the POC. Even for the Ticket To Ride/Birthday videos, they only started plugging the POC a few hours ahead of release. The only thing they've ever really plugged to death was the second trailer. Still, a new gameplay video (WMGGW dreamscape plz) or information on what is in the bundle would be welcome for this weeks announcement. Besides Song 45 (which I really think they won't announce), there's really not that much 'epic' they can announce.

My dream POC announcement for this week would be that they are releasing a few extra tracks as DLC on 09/09/09. I don't think it will happen, but a man can dream.

What does it even matter? Whatever is posted in the pre-order club is available here within 30 seconds. And usually the people here see it quicker then you can actually see it in the POC page as often times the embedded links don't work for an hour or more and before that the separate link is posted here.

I just freaking wish they would tell us what the "additional special content" is. I really don't even care if they don't release another video/screenshot, I mean we've seen plenty of that. It would just be nice to know EVERYTHING I'm getting in the box I'm spending $250 on.

While they'll put out a trailer/commercial and likely tell us what the "Additional Special Content" is, I think the day for them to do so has passed.

Last Friday was the last day that the four Beatles were ever in the studio together, some 40 years ago. That's about as momentous as you can get, really.

And besides, announcing it the day before? No one's gonna be paying attention. You have to have at least a full day for people to go nuts and THEN experience it. If they were to announce song 45 on 9.8.09, there would be some people who just wouldn't find out until they'd already bought the game and devoured it lol.



NOTE: This is for HMX's schedule that I can foresee. Unwanted leaks from Gamestop/what have you are not included in this timeframe. Though I could see HMX announcing track 45 in the commercial for the game, to make it be an announcement on *their terms*, but that's about it.

I figure the additional content sounds more attractive to us customers phrased that way than if they detailed what it is, so it's not gonna be publicized. :)
