I apologize if I am posting on the wrong forum, and also if this has been brought up already. I tried looking for something like this using the search feature but I didn't find what I was looking for.

Anyway, 4 days are left until the last of the "first wave of DLC" that was announced, and I am highly curious and excited to find out what is in store for the next wave.

If anyone knows of any news, or can direct me as to where to go or provide a link or anything of that sort, or even a "sorry, but no one knows anything yet," it would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you all for your time.

barring a "super" xmas/new yrs release I wouldn't look for anything new until the first week of the new year.

Then that means they aren't going to stick with their "every week" release schedule?

It doesn't mean anything, it was just his opinion. Nothing is known yet.

like people have already stated. i think tuesday's DLC will be the last for 2007, and we should start getting more DLC within the first couple of weeks of january.

I think we could probably forgive them for missing out a week or two over the festive season while they go and be with their families...

All I know is that there is still plently more that Harmonix has ready that haven't been announced yet. I don't know which songs, or exactly how many, but there are definately more than the 3 we know of ready to go.

I really think we aren't going to be getting a schedule of releases. Rather, there will probably be an announcement every Monday or Tuesday saying "Here's the songs for this week!" Then we oooh and aaah over the choices and rush to buy them.

IMHO something to upstage Christmas would be awesome. A lot of people will be buying and playing it for the first time, so it would seem appropriate to put something awesome out there for their first week.

I realize this has already been answered, but in the future you can check rockband.com.

My three most wanted songs of the first DLC wave are all coming out next week. :p

Anyway. I hope there still will be DLC after this week, so yeah, an album for the christmas week would be awesome.

After this week's DLC, I doubt we'll see any more until 1/2. Aka none on the week of Christmas besides a schedule most likely.

lol @ some of you guys saying they should take it easy over the break, they most likely have everything they're going to release this year done and ready to go. They just follow a release schedule. It's not like they're getting close to the end of this first wave and someone remembers "OH ****" we gotta come up with some more songs. These things are picked prolly months in advance and ready to go already.

Very true. I think at the least we'll be getting a DLC schedule announced.

When Harmonix releases some beloved Zeppelin on Christmas day it will be the best (Houses of the) holy day ever......

One would like to think so. It obviously takes weeks to months to create them. I was thinking more of the support side of things rather than content creation. ;)

Then that means they aren't going to stick with their "every week" release schedule?

Since we'll be up to 27 songs after next week--in the space of a month--I'm perfectly happy with the idea that they might take Christmas and New Year's off to be with their families for probably the first time since launch.

Do you also think there's no work to be done between the time a game goes gold and its launch date?

They still owe us Who's Next... that'd be a great present.

This is just dreaming yes...but I think for the Dec 25th release, since RB will have just released in Canada, they should release the entire Moving Pictures album, by Rush! :D

1. Tom Sawyer
2. Red Barchetta
3. YYZ
4. Limelight
5. The Camera Eye
6. Witch Hunt
7. Vital Signs

doubt it, considering YYZ is instrumental and Tom Sawyer's already in the game (I know Enter Sandman, Won't Get Fooled Again and In Bloom are there too though so I guess it's plausible.) I know this is simply your personal choice, but I would buy it if it happened.

Not releasing new DLC over the Christmas and New Year's weeks would be a total marketing failure. Demand for DLC will be extremely high at this point so it would be extremely profitable. Their entire marketing department should be fired if nothing gets released Christmas week.

That seems a little extreme since they have been releasing at least 3 songs a week up until at least Tuesday. If they don't release anything over Christmas and New Years it wouldn't really matter its only two weeks without new songs.

Not to worry, your songs are still coming out weekly. Save up your points! You should like em too. Of course I would say that, but still. I likes em. :)
