Starting sometime between 5 and 6 tonight, I'm going to try to play through the Endless Setlist as an Expert/Expert guitarist/vocalist. I'll report back later :)

Hardcore. Go nuts. Might I suggest a ****load of water, energy drinks and throat lozenges. :D

That's going to be some achievement pulling it off.

To get platinum artist does every member of your band need to be playing on expert? Or is it just anyone who is playing as expert will become a platinum artist upon completion?

Oh also good luck, keep us informed as to how it goes!

Shoot, good luck on that. I'm gonna have to wait 'till I get it, than my friend and I are gonna spend a good day getting the platinum achievement, than do the co-op carrer on GH3, and that'll take a long time too!

I'm doing the exact same thing on Monday. It is going to be a long day for the throat, but it will be worth it in the end.

Every single member has to be on Expert. If anyone is on a lower difficulty, everyone gets the achievement at that lower level.

Ah that is lame, I guess I'm going to have to find someone who can handle expert, I guess the easy way out is Expert Bass and Guitar.

OK, we're at a little intermission, 13 songs in. Took 4 tries to get past Blood Doll, which is evil, and failed out on Gimme Shelter at 97% and have to do it again. The problem is the songs that I either don't know (Blood Doll) and the songs I know, but with hard to match vocal parts (Gimme Shelter). Oddly enough, when I did the HoF setlist on Expert/Expert, I didn't fail anything. Anyways, time for some orange juice and back to the Rolling Stones.

Halfway point intermission (29 songs done). The only problem in that group was Suffragette City. The basic rule is, "If it's 9th tier vocals, I'm struggling". My neck hurts, but my voice is fine.

I continue to check this thread for updates. I hope to be able to accomplish this feat in the near future. Best of luck on Reptillia, if you haven't already done it.

39 down. I've done Reptilia Expert/Expert before; my voice is in the right range for Reptilia, fortunately enough. Anyways, no fails in that set of 10, though Timmy and the Lords of the Underworld was very tough.

Woot. bump.

Good luck with the last leg!

My wife and I did it on medium a few days after we got the game and her voice was destroyed. (not to mention my arm was)

We're definitely ready to do it on hard, just not sure if her voice can hold up :)

You rawk man expert/expert is no joke.

Edgehopper

Last intermission. 49 down, 9 to go. No fails on that leg, though I only barely made it through Can't Let Go. 4 starred Reptilia, 5 starred Tom Sawyer. Still to go (in no particular order): Green Grass & High Tides, Run to the Hills, Outside, I Get By, Flirtin' With Disaster, Enter Sandman, Highway Star, Foreplay/Long Time, and Won't Get Fooled Again. Of those, I'm most worried about I Get By.

I Get By is definitely the hardest in that bunch. Otherwise, you're almost home free.

Best wishes.

OK, really the last intermission this time. Failed out twice on GG&HT thanks to the Strat acting up, switched in an Xplorer, and got through it that time. 4 songs to go, specifically Flirtin' With Disaster, I Get By, Run to the Hills, and Won't Get Fooled Again.

You can do it. If you do, it's an amazing feat. Good luck with I Get By though, the vocals to that song are a *****.

Finished! 248/290 stars, and pulled out a 5 star on Flirtin' With Disaster at the end. Fail outs on:

Blood Doll (3)
Suffragette City (2)
Green Grass & High Tides (2)

I've been listening to I Get By on my Zune so much that the only place I had a problem with it was the bridge.

My next challenge for myself is going to be Hard drums/Hard vocals endless setlist. I can't even pass a lot of the songs on Expert drums yet :)

12-14-2007, 07:45 PM
Damn, that's awesome. :) I'm hoping to eventually be able to pull that off myself, but...I'm gonna need to learn the songs a lot better before I can sing on Expert and play guitar at the same time.

I've been listening to I Get By on my Zune so much that the only place I had a problem with it was the bridge.

Man, I'm trying to pass that song on Expert vocals now and it's driving me nuts. I've gotten the rest of it down, but that bridge...argh. I just can't get past it.

Once I get into the game I'll consider tackling Drums/Vocals, but I want to get used to the drumming first so I'll probably soar through Solo Drums first.

I have a question re: the platinum artist achievement. Seeing as how I'm not good enough to do it by myself and I have a hard time getting friends to play, its going to be a while for me, but ....

When you get towards the end and all, can you just go through your BWT career at a lower level and then just do the last song on Exp and get it? Looks as if all members have to play on Exp to get it too, right?

Disregarding the fact that this thread is half a year old, this is an easy question.

To get the Platinum Artist achievement, your band has to beat the Endless Setlist with everyone on expert. You can't change difficulty halfway through the Endless Setlist. It's just like the other sets in Band World tour, only much much longer.

Good luck!

Maybe gonna do the same if my band members don't show up today, but playing bass instead. (yeah, need a miracle on Run to the Hills...)

Jesus... you rezzed this thread to ask that?

In RB1, you can only do World Tour with 2+ characters. When this thread started, there was no RB2 yet.

Bassani
01-12-2009, 01:43 AM
Yes, in RB1 you need either 2 players or you need to learn to play 2 instruments at the same time.

As far as RB2 goes, you can go it alone with just 1 instrument, or try to do it with others online.

Wow, X3mAtikz, you bumped a post from when this forum had TAGS.

I found the tags to be so humourous sometimes.
