im thinking they wont be announcing any extended warranty, and hope most of the initial defective peripherals are replaced, but they'll play the role of being good guys by honoring replacement requests after the initial 60 days for maybe another month or two no questions asked.

i just talked to them yesterday and as of right now there not to worried about the 60 day dead line i think they just want to take care of the defective equipment first

The impression I get is that EA is committed to correcting the issue. I don't think they are going to stiff us on day 61. After all, a lot of the launch day bundles are going to be Christmas presents. Those won't even get a chance to fail until more than half way through the warranty. If they are thinking long term success of a franchise, they will continue to do the right thing.

I agree with the above poster. But I'm sure that they will finally get the guitar right. Even if they have to go back to the loud strum bars.
