New sd card doesnt work!!

I originally had a 1 gb kodak sd card for my downloaded songs on rb2 now i ran out of space and i got a 8 gb SanDisk sdhc card and the wii console recognizes it but rockband says it cant use it

You're not wrong. RB2 does not support SDHC cards.

RB2 doesn't support SDHC because Nintendo didn't support it when RB2 came out, and Nintendo doesn't allow developers to patch games.

GH5 will be the first game to support SDHC, however, I can say that RB is very much likely to support it (and hopefully export songs as well) in RB3.
