I tell you, how I managed not to completely lose it on the phone with the EA folks is a miracle, but at least I kept my cool and have another on the way WITHOUT a 2nd charge (as I told them, charge that card again and I'll just plain out dispute it). What a bunch of idiots though, and I told them straight up that the thing broke on 11/30, and I waited to do an RMA due to cash flow stuff, that I expect a free game too, and they stammered and I was like, don't stammer, just add me to the list (I guess where my customer service background kicked in, that and not cussing in the first place). At least I can upstrum during songs (just sort makes most anything hard or higher damn near impossible).
I will say this, I think the reps appreciated not being dog-cussed or referred to as idiots (although if so, after this stuff, it might be rightful to do so).
