Even if the GH drums worked perfectly... RB drums would still be far superior.

Yes, RB drums are awesome! The game is better too! Before getting Rock Band 2 when making my decision between getting World Tour (this is before Metallica or Smash Hits) or Rock Band 2, I asked on both forums which one was better. On the Rock Band forums, people said Rock Band was better, and on the Guitar Hero forums, people said Rock Band was better!!!

I laugh at GH's drum set. RB is far more superior in the drum department

Im spending more than most people on one because Im having it shipped from the US to UK
I wanted one because of the amount of time and effort I put into making my characters.
Plus they look cool

I really dislike World Tour's foot pedal.
I mean, Rock Band's foot pedal is pretty notorious, but at least it doesn't feel like I'm stepping on cardboard.
Both drum sets could use improvements, but I find RB's to function more. It's a very sensitive instrument to operate, and RB's extra care makes it a touch more appreciable.

so the rb band in a box you buy today in the uk has the fixed pedal

The general opinion is that RB is better for drummers and GH is better for guitarists.
At least, for gamers who like both games.

not really, the general consensus is the gh songs that have double bass on gh are more pop and can you get the rb drum splitter in the uk?

GH drumset has the best rebound ever

the GH cymbals don't translate well to Rock Band and the foot pedal slides around, but I like how I barely have to step on the foot pedal to register a hit and the bounciness of the pads. I get so tired when playing on the RB drums

This, and that's what's really important. Forget the charts and look at the hardware. If the yellow cymbal was further to the left, it would be the best toy drums ever made.

the would be the best ever if they didn't break when you play raining blood or even just set it up, because the cables have snapped 7 times on me
yeah the pedal has a good rebound but its so fiddly with me because when i hit it it will move

You got a bad kit. My kit died way after my RB kit did.

Do you own the kit or did you play it at Best Buy? ;)

RB drums do die.
My pedal broke and out of rage I cracked the plastic inbetween the red and yellow pad. :P

You obviously haven't played on the Beatles kit yet. And this is coming from someone who owns the GH drums. That being said, the GH drums rebound is still good, what bugs me about the kit is the pedal.

It's been demoed at plenty of conventions so far, so there's definitely been opportunities. That and I thought both you and Toy were involved in the whole playtester scene, but maybe that's just for 'the other guys'.
The Beatles drums are, to me, the unsung heroes of the new instruments, though. The guitars and the Hofner get more attention because of their looks, but the drums are really nice as well; they have a nice bit of bounce to them and the pedal seemed firm yet sensitive enough (insensitivity is my main issue with the GH drums, even after calibrating it with the PC tool). For someone who's used to the RB1 and GH:WT kits, it's definitely a big improvement.

I think Toy might be but I'm not no. Anyway I bought the IONs so I won't be needing any more drums haha.

Do you know if the Beatle's drum kits going to be sold seperately? I still need a drum kit, and I don't really want to pay for an Ion kit

They'll probably be sold separately at some point, but I think you'll only be able to get them in the limited edition set at first. Not that that's so bad... you'll get a mic stand and that sexy, sexy Hofner bass controller too.

Yeah, only problem with that is that I don't sing, and I dont really need another guitar controller.
Ill have to keep an eye out to see if they get released seperately I guess

They aren't that bad. I prefer the cymbals, but the pedal is funny feeling, then again, the RB pedal brakes way too easy. I currently own a RB drumset, but I'm getting the new GH5 drumset since the RB one is in need of replacement.

What makes your post suck.
You only posted that the orange pad broke. Big deal. Stop hitting it too hard.
What makes the GH drums great; The Midi Input - So real drums can be played on it.
