If I had to guess what's wrong....I'd say it has a few big scratches on it....

Get a disk doctor...they are only $20.

Do you really need someone to tell you this or are you messing around?

1. Did the game have these big scratches BEFORE you put it in your system?

2. Are you playing the 360 version?

I ask becuase the 360 has a history of badly scratching discs.

Hehe..ok..

The "unable to read disk" error is pretty much standard wording whenever a laser reader is unable to pick up information from the disk surface, either from dirt on the laser eye or scratches on the disk surface. You need to either try to exchange the disk or get a tool that will fix the disk surface.

Most department stores have a Disk Doctor or similar item to fix scratched disks. They are kept with the blank CD products. It "buffs" out the scratch (well, really it peels off a surface layer) so that the laser can read the infp again. It works good unless the scratch is really deep.

So, in short, it is not an error in the game coding, but a scratched disk. The same could happen to any other disk you have that ges scratched up.

Of course it's a 360. PS3 games come on BluRay - You have to try really hard to scratch them enough to be unreadable.

Yeah - try a DiscDoctor... They work well but if it's badly scratched don't expect a miracle.

take it to a hollywood video or a blockbuster and have them buff it out they have a high grade machine that well make it like new

Use a banana on it, first rub the edible part of the banana in a circular motion on the disc, then follow up with the inside of the peel. Cover the entire disc then wipe it off with a soft cotton cloth and windex.

And yes I am serious.

According to EAxViolet from EA:

Scratched, Damaged, or Faulty Disks

If you have a problem with your game disk you are covered by Electronic Art's standard warranty policy:
