Hi folks, I'm having an issue with the drum set. I guess I get too overzealous with the pedal as I play and start pushing it away from me. :) Anyone have any ideas to help keep it in place? Even putting an Xbox behind the set didn't help!

Get some non-slip carpet padding. Works like a charm.

Well, I temporarily solved the problem by breaking my pedal. :(

Ouch, sorry to hear that. I don't have non-slip carpet, so I use a heavy object (in particular, my bass amp) between the feet on the back of the drum set. Works perfectly. Just heavy enough to avoid moving while I kick the pedal, but light enough for me to adjust the set on the fly.

Get yourself one of those pedal mods, the steel ones with the diamond plating or whatever the heck it's called. From what I hear they're well worth it.

This probably won't be amusing to people who can't get the game, but I actually have an unopened RB bundle behind my set to keep it from moving... for now anyways. I'll need a permanent solution later.

I have a cinder block sitting in front of my drum set...dosen't move now.

I take my foot pedal off of the interconnecting rails so that it's closer to my body. Less annoying "rattling" sound against those metal rods, easier to hit those double bass hits, and doesn't move the set around since the pedal isn't connected to it any more...

For those without carpet, try a roll of the non-slip drawer liner. ~$5

Those with carpet, or a small area rug, try some heavy duty adhesive-backed velcro. Should be available in sheets and strips at home improvement stores. Make sure it's the large-hook type, the smaller household variety won't cut it.

I just put a pillow in front of the drum set and it stays in place.
